Pip didn't have very many in-patients, though he hadn't been a sage for very long, had he? No, and yet, at the moment, he was the sole Necro Mamba, at least until his sister finished holding the tryouts. He...hoped there was someone to assume the position of soothsayer in Junji's place among those submitting lessons for review; he still felt that he didn't know nearly enough, and while he'd gleaned much from books, a mentor was able to answer questions quickly that he would have to search through texts for. Until then, though, it was just him in the temple- now with Chardonnay recovering, but he wasn't stupid. He hadn't met anyone yet who seemed like they would manage bed rest well, and Chardonnay was no exception, so Pip expected restlessness. He had fully intended to bring him books, and some puzzles to fiddle with, so it was with a small bag filled with those things when the young canine came down the corridor to see Chardonnay out of his room.
No surprise registered along Pip's expression- he was merely resigned.
"There are many reasons you should be resting," he began, voice even, "and any one of them alone should give me the ability to lock your door." Pip inclined his head back to the doorway, a silent, pointed direction for Chardonnay to return. "I could show you pictures, maybe, but I hope that won't be necessary."
