"You don't need to worry."
A cold, unwavering voice passed through the area as the maskless General joined the group. "I've got enough water here to carry her... I could probably use whatever fluids are left in her body, too."
He bit his tongue after speaking, finding his words a bit too harsh. He rarely tried manipulating others' bodies directly... but then again, it was a corpse he was dealing with, not a living body.Morgan said nothing for a bit, simply approaching and examining the body. He could smell the Rosebloods' scent, faint as it was, yet something felt wrong to him. After a brief once-over, he turned toward Vigenere.
"I... I don't think we should give the murderer the time of day. We'll mourn Whisper, but we're not going to go to war or anything over this."
Something just felt wrong. "You all smelled it too, right? The Rosebloods... One of them did this. It seems way too strange, though. You get what I mean?"
He began pacing around the body. "What reason would they have to kill a random Tangler like this? We're allies, and... and we've not interacted with them enough to seem like we're trying to ruin them from the inside."
He began to breathe in and out aloud as he closed his eyes to sense the blood that still lingered inside the corpse.
"I think the best thing we can do is to give Whisper a proper burial and keep on-guard. If any strange things happen again, I'll go to the Rosebloods' territory and ask them about all this. We're not really in good enough shape to go raid them or anything - not that that'd be a good idea right now, anyway."
He resumed his breathing, attempting to levitate the body to the best of his ability. It was a bit less difficult than he was expecting, which was a fact Morgan found uncomfortable to admit. It was almost as if it was something he had been trained to do.
