As soon as the rains had let up, the cloudy sky looming over her head like a warning that either way, she was going to stay soaked, the little tortie made her way down to the beach, curiousity overriding any sense of danger from the crashing waves and hazards that might've washed up, such as broken seaglass. After all, it was her first time seeing the sea. If they had to evacuate, who knew when they'd come back, or if they would be back, for that matter.

Nora paused in her trek down to the water, amber eyes widening at the sight before her. Starfish, as far as the eye could see. To Nora, if they were there on the beach right now, they were supposed to be there. A dark paw reached out to poke one, the squishiness intriguing her, before letting out a bright laugh, blissfully unaware that they were slowly dying, and that even if she did toss them into the sea, it was likely that they'd wash up again, and suffer the same fate either way.
