As soon as the rains had let up, the cloudy sky looming over her head like a warning that either way, she was going to stay soaked, the little tortie made her way down to the beach, curiousity overriding any sense of danger from the crashing waves and hazards that might've washed up, such as broken seaglass. After all, it was her first time seeing the sea. If they had to evacuate, who knew when they'd come back, or if they would be back, for that matter. Nora paused in her trek down to the water, amber eyes widening at the sight before her. Starfish, as far as the eye could see. To Nora, if they were there on the beach right now, they were supposed to be there. A dark paw reached out to poke one, the squishiness intriguing her, before letting out a bright laugh, blissfully unaware that they were slowly dying, and that even if she did toss them into the sea, it was likely that they'd wash up again, and suffer the same fate either way. The only reason he knew what most aquatic creatures were was that of his friend O'fraiser. Who had been a hybrid between a seal and a strawberry leopard. The guy practically knew everything about the ocean and literally lived in it for most of his life. Ichigo forgot the term that the other used to describe what he actually as it was so many years ago. It was based on a legend that he was fairly certain, and it was probably something far too complicated for him to really understand. While his best friend loved the water, he was terrified of heights. This didn't help when the clan territory that they had been in had been made up of treehouses that were high in up in the air in a redwood forest. The wildcat had always mocked his best friend about how scared he was all the time, and the other made fun of him for other things. They had constant banter with one another, and he missed those moments too. On the other end, Ichigo was terrified of the ocean and was perfectly fine with heights as long as it wasn't on the mountains. Other than that, he was fine with most environments. Which might confuse someone why he had picked such a place to stay, which had both oceans and mountains being the main component of the territory. He would then immediately explain that it was the first place that he came across and they seemed like decent folk and he needed to gain more knowledge before going toward other groups anyway. He knew what starfish were, and that they needed to be in the ocean to survive. Or something like that. He could only imagine how horrible they would end up tasting. Ichigo was walking along the further edge of the beach staying away from the water, a frown spread across his drenched features. The rain never seemed to stop, but it wasn't the rain that bothered him, it was the effects the rain was having in the area. While he was walking, he noticed a familiar soul and an unfamiliar one in the distance. The one soul that he did recognize wasn't a good sight for sore eyes. He didn't trust Cryptic in the slightest. He had no idea who the bastard was, but just being near the other made him uneasy, especially with the aura that the other gave off. Ichigo was indeed bummed about all the starfish that were beached, well, on the beach. "This sucks." Ichigo mumbled to himself while he was walking toward the group. The much larger male was talking to the tortie cat, one that he did not recognize. He noticed that the other was intrigued with the starfish that were in front of her. He made sure that he was good enough distance away so that he wasn't close to the ocean. "You know, you could probably help with putting these guys back." Ichigo stated in a calm manner. If the other didn't that was their own decision, he wasn't going to force anyone from doing anything. His yellow and brown eyes would flick over to look at Cryptic before looking at Nora. He didn't introduce himself immediately of course. Re: star thrower (open, starfish) - MirrorEdge - 11-11-2018 [align=center][div style="width: 45%; text-align: justify; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: times new roman;"]♡ — "Poor? How? Aren't they supposed to be here?" Nora tilted her head, the younger feline's attention moving from the strange creatures to the unfamiliar people before her, somewhat comforted by the fact that these were Sunhaveners, trusting that they were friends rather than foes immediately from the scent of the group alone. This was probably not a wise decision on her part, in any situation. Scents could easily be manipulated, but she was a bit too trusting to suspect anybody of doing such a thing, simply because she didn't know any better. Cryptic's introduction prompted her to respond with her own, whiskers twitching, a few crumbs falling off of them into the sand at her feet, likely to be snatched up by ants at any moment. "Nora. It's nice to meet you both!" She didn't let Ichigo's lack of introduction bother her, instead choosing to hook her claws into a nearby starfish, tossing into the shallow part of the water. "Like that?" Re: star thrower (open, starfish) - rhosmari - 11-14-2018
This sort of reminded her about the time when she had a little bit of an issue with an octopus who had decided it was okay to cling to her face. Now she held no issues with sea life but that one was a little too grabby and had ended up spraying ink in her mouth. It had tasted horrible and she would never forget the experiences. Even now as she looked at the starfish that seemed to litter the beach she felt a funny taste in her mouth. Eww. Shaking her head a bit the woman slowly walked toward the group, eyes focused on the many armed creatures that were most likely dying from being pushed up onto the beach from the storms and it was a wonder that nothing else had been pushed up on the beach either. "Ah, maybe a little bit deeper there, lass." The hellbeast spoke calmly as she moved to nudge a couple of the starfish before she picked up and chucked it into the ocean. Hopefully it didn't get eaten and she had to think about that before her jaws parted on a question she thought was interesting. "Does anything eat starfish?" She knew she didn't eat any starfish herself. Maybe something did though after all she liked fish but that didn't include these squishy yet bumpy things. Her paws settled down and she lowered her head to sniff at one of them, tails wiggling against her body before she shrugged her shoulders and began to toss a few more back into the ocean from where they came after all she didn't want to honestly see them die upon the beach no more than anyone else did. "SPEECH"
