It wasn't until now that it registered just how the dog had startled him and he suddenly grew quite interested in the shiba. She was able to make electricity straight from her paws? He'd heard of supernatural abilities like this, but he'd never actually seen one in person until now.
Then his attention was drawn away to the lion that had made himself present. Now if he was trying to confuse the young cheetah he had done a very good job of it by apologizing to him. Why would he apologize for something someone else did? Did he feel somewhat responsible for the dog, or was he just extremely apologetic? Either way, the apology had him dumbfounded. "Huh? But you didn't-" Then he's cut off as Alisaie voiced her own apology, which he simply nodded to choosing to remain silent until she mentioned the power behind the shock.
"Well okay, it didn't really hurt it just um... shocked me." He explained indignantly, unintentionally making a pun as he tried to back peddle and recover a bit of his masculinity from his outburst. "I don't know about you, but getting surprise zapped isn't my definition of fun." He added, lowering his tone as he managed to calm himself down from that sudden jolt. Who'd of thunk that his first encounter with supernatural powers would be him getting zapped? Oh well, he guessed at least now he knew how it felt, at least with a relatively low voltage anyway.
Then when Alisaie started to speak about her powers, Vin looked up from his paws, his earlier interest making a sudden reappearance. He had to wonder why she hadn't been able to use them much at home. Was it because her parents thought her power was too dangerous? He could understand that. Improper training with that could be rather dangerous, although with the right training... something like that could be quite useful, and not just for attacking, that couldn't be further from what Vin had in mind. "No? Why wouldn't they care about something as cool as that? Think of all the cool things you could do!" The now gone pain caused by this power was completely forgotten as a different version of the cheetah showed himself. His tone had changed from slightly angry to excited as he pictured what he would do with such a power. "You could go fishing, start a fire, or even power up human stuff!" He said, listing off only a few of the ideas that came to mind.
