Vincent had to admit there was something strange about falling asleep without a sky full of stars above him. Sure he'd been in plenty of buildings before, but he'd never slept in one. Sure, there were those who did where he came from, but such structures were rare and only those strong enough to protect a house lived in one. The rest drifted in nomadic lifestyles, going to bed with the stars above them and waking with the rising sun. Down here you lost track of time quick, and that was part of the reason as to why Vin hadn't been able to choose a room quite yet. He wasn't quite sure he was ready to commit to calling a hole in the ground his "home".
Though just for this night he'd thought to at least try it out, and instead of taking up a room, he instead stayed out in the hallway, pressing himself up against the wall in hopes of not getting stepped on. Unfortunately, tonight that strategy wouldn't work, even if he didn't actually get stepped on. As when Alisaie approached down the hallway, playing with her dangerous power. A rogue spark would shoot off and strike the sleeping cheetah, immediately causing him to jump up to his paws wide awake and puff out his fur in much the same way small cats do.
"Ow, what the heck did you do that for?" He asked the young and unfamiliar dog, his voice tight with fear. "I-I know I shouldn't be sleeping in the hallway, but that really hurt!" He added, not quite registering what the dog had actually done to cause him so much pain. In fact, he didn't think he could really compare the pain to anything he'd ever felt before, except for maybe when he had put his tongue on his battery that one time. But he didn't see any battery and the pain wasn't in his tongue this time.
