♚ her weary observances had cost her to be spotted. not that she was looking to truly hide herself in the long run of things. bryn had yet to realize she had crossed a boundary quite yet, not realizing that had been the explanation for the rather strong scent that covered the expansive land she had begun to cross. it would have made sense, had she known it was a normal occurrence to scent-mark territory. the pitt used its desert borders to weed out those unfit for their ranks as far as she was informed.
her focus snapped back in front of her, her limbs tensed and her ears pinned back. several vines slowly began to wrap themselves around her ankles and lashed outward from her body, coiling back to her. she was ready to face on any threat as exhausted as she was. she may not even be able to throw the first punch without collapsing, but she would be damned if she let herself go down without a fight. she wanted to survive.
electric blue were met with a honey gold, and she felt her heart skip a few beats. the jaguar was... quite intimidating; she almost mistook his slow approach for stalking. holding her breath to try and ready herself for one last fight for her life, she let out a soft sigh of relief at his words.
pacifism.
she knew what it meant, but by the gods had she never experienced it firsthand. still, bryn was cautious in the wake of a larger creature who she had no knowledge of. at least he had given her a name to put the land to but she was still hesitant on his offer to help her. the last thing she wanted was to be a damsel in distress. or even worse: held as if she owed them something for their help. would she have to pledge an allegiance to them in return? or would they take advantage of her guard down and kill her on the spot? no one was worthy of her trust quite yet.
"you are...kind." she began slowly, glancing warily at agathe as she was next to appear. "i am not sure what your intentions hold, though." it was not a yes or no, but bryn would first like to hear what this 'help' would entail. what the expected outcome would be, and how they would both benefit from this. they wouldn't willingly give help without a service in return; she knew that's not how this world worked.
to answer agathe's question, the girl stood up straighter, raising her chin up with a sudden proudness as she spoke. "bryn harbringer. daughter of quill harbringer; marauder of the pitt. i have left for... safety. they don't require my presence there any longer." bryn was aware the pitt had enemies all over the world it seemed. she would not lie right to their face, though, they would have found out later if not now, and she would possibly be in more trouble then. she would rather be turned away at the door than evicted.
