Listening in on others' conversations might have been interesting, but none of the Typhoon's members with the exception of Georgie were really the sort to voice their innermost thoughts and weaknesses in public. Besides, the beach may have been the safest place on the island at night, but he couldn't be cooped up on a single strip of sand during the day. Hunting may not have been the most exciting activity in the world- you couldn't even hold down your prey just to watch it squirm, that messed up the meat's flavor and texture- but it was something to get him off the beach for a bit.
Emerging from the jungle with a fallen mouse in his jaws, the jackal noticed Keona standing still and looking cross-eyed at something. Quirking a brow, he jogged over and eyed the insect perched on the kitten's nose. It didn't look harmful, but he couldn't pass it off as harmless, either. It could be poisonous, or have some blood-sucking mechanism like a mosquito, or worse. "Oy, shoo!" he growled, waving a paw at the pest. "Leave her alone!"
