All Buckingham was hoping for in a patrol nowadays was some peace and quiet. Despite all of his efforts to start over, forget his awful past, it all came spitting back in his face. It all started with getting accused of murder, but he wasn't about to elaborately think about that. All it did was open other doors to worse situations- Asset relapses, and a brewing conflict with the Ascendants. Now, he can't shove the Asset to the side- it's no longer sitting in silence waiting for him to grow comfortable. He can't be reckless, especially after two relapses in a short amount of time. The Winter Soldier came back in full swing. Though, the Asset has only taken control in extreme circumstances. Each circumstance had their own trigger to set the male off, he wasn't about to go out of control for running across a fight or a murder scene. So, he didn't have any worries of a potential relapse number three when his ears pricked up at the sounds of a fight.
None of the scents that were invading his nostrils smelled familiar to him. At that moment, he knew this fight didn't involve any of his clanmates, but it was occurring in Sunhaven territory. Knowing he had to abandon his patrol, the male quickly changed paths, heading in the direction of the scuffle. His walking quickly turned into a sprint, ears pinned back to his skull as he tried to reach the scene as quickly as he could.
But, Marina beat him to it. The Warden came skidding to a stop, his gaze landing on Marina as she threatened and bared her pearly whites at the two muscular rogues. As the threat sunk into their skin, the former assassin watched the true colors of the two males show. They looked petrified, actually believing Marina would make a snack out of them if they didn't start moving. They act as if they're so strong and mighty, but in actuality- they're nothing but cowardly bullies. Nobodies. Buckingham watched the two rogues run away, their tails tucked between their legs. His tail slowly swished behind him as they retreated, yowling out to them, "And you both better not come back!"
Once the two rogues were out of sight, Bucky turned his attention to the feline who became their punching bag. Buckingham has enhanced senses, meaning he can pick up scents and sounds more than average. He heard another set of paws running away as he ran over here. He also heard Steve standing up to the bullies- though he didn't expect him to be so small. He blinked with surprise for a moment as he took note of Steve's slender figure, and how he was a little smaller than the average domestic feline. "Damn, you got some guts going against those guys- you alright?" The maine coon asked as his gaze locked on Steve, a tufted ear flicking. "I'm Buckingham by the way."
