Well, Izuku didn't look like much of a threat. If it weren't for the intense marring of scars across his coat, he'd hardly even be registered as a threat. Izuku doesn't mind. It's better to b underestimated, anyways. That was a lesson learned the hard way, of course -- a reputation meant people knew what to expect from you. It gave them an edge over you.
So Izuku was understandably wary of the stranger's(??) recognition. There was a little spark of hope in his chest, a soft chant of anotheroneanotheroneanotherone. Reasonably, they could of just heard of him elsewhere, though. Izuku had been well known in Snowbound before he left, and while he didn't reach out himself, he was fairly social outside of it. .. But, well. It wasn't frequently that he introduced himself with his surname. Izuku, of course, thought there was a fine line between who he considered 'midoriya' or 'izuku'. It was ... some sort of identity crisis, he's sure. Midoriya was the hero. Izuku was just ... him.
".. Yes," Izuku agrees, a wary edge to his voice as he regards the lion. He doesn't have terribly high expectations of lions as a whole. Stryker was a lion. And he was basically the only lion Izuku had met, and he should really stop thinking about Stryker before he reacted badly. The maine coon's ears go flat. ".. Who are you?" He says, just a hint of anxious demand in his voice. 'Demands' weren't hard, not after his stint as both Frosthealer and Snowseeker. It .. probably isn't incredibly necessary, though. Sunhaven. Last Izuku had been home, they'd been allies with them, right? So Izuku just had to claim himself as a lost Snowbounder if he got into trouble. Which isn't quite a lie, luckily, even if Izuku happens to be willfully lost. They'd welcome him back with open arms if he showed up, he's sure.
