[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 60%; font-family: georgial; font-size: 11pt;"]For some time the male did not look up from his catches, even as the shuffle of pawsteps coming towards him became increasingly clear. Simply put, this decision was far too important to distract himself with things such as socialising, only deciding to pay attention to his surroundings when a flash of red entered the corner of his eye. Blood. An ear swiveled first before eventually his whole head followed, maw parted in surprise as he looked up towards the leopard that had joined him. Such shock quickly turned to relief as his gaze trailed upwards to her muzzle, coming to a realisation that she hadn't injured herself further. Maybe there was no difference between the tang of a beast's blood and the blood of prey, maybe he wasn't wild enough to be able to tell the difference, maybe he didn't care enough to learn. Whatever the reasons were for his preemptive conclusions, Ren was glad they were over.
"Loads of big carnivores around here. Means big prey gets eaten more often whilst little prey thrives. You'd see more deer and meese if you were all my size," he tried sounding intelligent, albeit butchering the plural of 'moose' whilst doing so. As bright as he thought he was, the tom still wouldn't claim to know everything, he was but a youngster in comparison to those like Bubonicplague, after all. They may've been bossy and irritating most of the time, but superiors did have some benefits with their knowledge of the world. Unsheathing his claws, the feline suddenly lunged a white forepaw towards the sparrow with a speed only suggested if the bird was still alive, bringing it towards himself. Yes, this was what he had decided, with all of them feathers he figured one with bigger claws might've struggled to pluck them all away. His other paw moved towards the mouse, swatting it gently towards Agathe as an offering.
Such a morsel must be just as filling as a single chip in a bag to a snow leopard of such stature, but he figured that it was the thought that counted. As he began ripping away at the small feathers and plumage, Ren finally seemed to acknowledge the other's question. "Bored. I've been non-stop since I've joined, genuinely having time to myself is rough," he admitted, trying his hardest to smile through the lulled feeling his laziness gave him. He'd hate it if Agathe thought she was the one causing his sluggishness, if he were honest she was one of the only few who might be able to save him from this nightmare known as free time. Thoughts of how being jokingly told off at the borders flashed through his head again, covering a similar cringing fluster by lowering his head to let the corpse cover some of it. "Are your wounds getting any better?" he noted her wince, looking up in an attempt to be nonchalant.
