There was a vague memory, of three boys, princes even, racing through a forest and playing tag in the mud. He could still recall the look on their mother's face, tracking mud into their home. The rare day when the twins managed to pull Raziel away from his books. The faerie smiled absently, his sea-green eyes, the same eyes of every Faolain, gleaming sadly. Although she had no siblings, it was nice to see Keona embarking on the age-old game with a friend, and even managing to pull in others.
Raziel chuckled quietly, taking a seat beside Alek. He did not want to bother the children and their game. The world was an old and cruel place, filled with misfortune. "No need to be so negative," the direwolf rumbled, smile turning morose. "There's nothing wrong in a little fun. Sometimes that's all we need." Even so, the faerie rested his head on his paws, quite content to observe rather than join in the game.
