Masie didn't believe in, oh wait she was only an infant, she believed in anything whatsoever in the world. If it was told to her by Delta or Owen, the raptor especially believed it. Of course, she had a hard time following exact orders sometimes, even if she believed everything they said. At only two months old? Her attention span was very poor, so if she was told to stay in the nest, but a very attractive butterfly or swift dragonfly went by, sometimes it very easily led her away. Today, was another one of the days that something had lured her easily from the confines of the raptor nest. Swiftly moving wings that shimmered in the sun like glass kept the gaze of the infant focused, large legs moving swiftly. This time, it had been a pair of dragonfly's, though she had lost the second one long ago, closed mouth chasing down the one she had not lost, maneuvering clumsily without much strategy as she had not seen her family hunt officially yet, so she only had what instinct provided her.
Eventually, the fun was interupted by sounds of frustration from Delta, but it was more than the normal irked mood her sister seemed to have about many things. Masie couldn't quiet figure out what was going on out of her sight, she had yet to experiance an actual threat that they would fight. Only, she had heard the cries of larger raptors when they went off leaving her in silence until hatching, it was quickly fading from memory but enough of it was still there. Whatever was going on? She could only compare to the instance she barely remembered, but recalled there had been much less noise afterwards, giving her the first hint of danger she'd ever felt. Masie didn't want Delta's noise to stop!
Tiny legs carried her stumbling across the ground, amber optics narrowed, thinking only of wanting Delta to keep making noise. Seconds ticking by, the instincts which flowed within her, evened out the movements she normally preformed clumsily, her body leaned forward allowing her to move faster than she had moved so far in her life. "BACK!" she had learned what it meant from Delta and as she leaped from the brush attempting to jump onto the spirit cat, she cried it out at him, wanting him to back away from her sister.
Only Masie found herself rolling across the ground, straight into one of the nearby tree's as she discovered for some reason the danger was untouchable. As an infant, the raptor couldn't understand that concept, quickly righting herself and snarling, tiny feet kicked up dust. "BACK!" leaning her body down she once more prepared to charge the plump ghost.
