It was this moment when Delilah had realized that she wasn't quite as useless as she had thought. Morgan had been kind to her, his voice was soothing, and he of all the men she knew, wasn't loud or rambunctious. She could trust him, she could think of him as a friend, he wouldn't hurt her. But still, her fear of men was still there, existing in the back of her mind, waiting for the wrong movement or word to be said to her. Waiting, patiently, to lash out when her existence was questioned, or flashbacks went through her head.
It was an understatement that the faerie was constantly on edge, even around Morgan.
The pastel feline had been caught playing with new powers, flowers sprouting around her and pasting themselves onto her skin. Then, Morgan had found her. He wanted to help her, didn't he? He could help her, it was okay. Everything was okay, wasn't it? He would teach her to use this power, or help.. Something.
Delilah had found herself following Morgan to the pool of water he had created, tilting her head to the side. It was true that he had mentioned wanting to make a warm mud bath, a spa, to help everyone relax, but she wasn't expecting to be apart of it.
So, when he called her name, and told her to churn up mud, Delilah got to work doing just that. Her paw churned in a circle, and her magenta eyes seemed to glow momentarily before the earth began to twist, mud soon swirling in the hole. It was dirty, but not like.. The swamp mud was. It wouldn't make them smell bad if they bathed after.
"Do.. Do you want me to make some decorations around it?.. Like.. Stones, or something?" Delilah squeaked out, dipping her paw into the soft, warm mud momentarily to grind the soaked dirt into her pawpad. It was satisfying, for sure.
The use of this power made her a bit dizzy, and the ground seemed so unsteady under her, but she remained sitting, her tail feeling around to make sure she wasn't moving around too much.
