Morgan groaned with a vague ache as he walked up onto the docks. He had only recently recovered from his painful and draining experience in the town square, remaining mostly bedridden in Vigenere's abode ever since. He announced that he wished to have the weekly meeting somewhere safe from the spirits, and so he was escorted to his cave.
TL;DR
"I'm sorry this week's meeting is being held in a different place this time. I don't think I have much of a choice, even if Delilah managed to bless the square for a while. If you've not noticed already, a sudden army of the undead have suddenly appeared here in Tanglewood."
He sat back on his haunches and took a deep breath, the water around him ebbing and flowing to match the pattern. "Thanks for coming. Now, the first announcement is that I'd like to welcome back Kiira and Aineias, who had been gone for a short time. I'm sorry you've had to return to us when things are most dangerous. I'd also like to promote Renegadeanthem to a Chaser, since I've seen him around more recently."
"Second is also important: my sources've told me that the Crater is completely engulfed in some kind of... 'dimensional convergence'. The world of the dead has overtaken it, and it's creeping slowly toward town. I have a feeling that in the next few weeks it might completely cover Tanglewood."
He sighed out, looking in the direction of the Crater. Indeed, what appeared to be a field of energy pulsated around it, shining a bright blood red that contradicted the light blue sky of dawn. "In the meantime, we should try to fight and take back our land. I know we're outnumbered by the ghosts, but we can at least work to clear out parts of the town to make it more livable."
"I also want to thank you all for your efforts to keep Tanglewood afloat in these trying times. I hope the next announcement won't worry anyone too much."
The samoyed stepped down into the cool sands of the shore, using his paw to draw a wide circle. "I'll be giving us a new task to accomplish this week. Just know that it might be dangerous, so keep on guard and don't hesitate to use whatever powers you might have, if any."
He continued his sketch, eventually forming a rough map of Tanglewood's town. "This here is the town square, which was blessed by Delilah on the day I was attacked."
He pointed toward a small square which represented the statue, then motioned over toward a larger square. "This is our library; from what I've heard, the ghosts've more than taken it over. I'll be sending some Tanglers out to collect some sage to burn so we can ward off those ghosts and take back the library. We'll have to free it by clearing out the invaders ourselves. Use what powers you have, and if not, then use your sage."
"If the spirits push us far enough, I think we should go to one of our allies for help next. We may lose Tanglewood soon, but we're not going to let it go down for long, or at all if we can help it. We'll find a way to set things right."
With confidence he brushed the map away, looking around at the small crowd around him. "I trust you all. We'll be heading to the library at midday."
TL;DR

- Tanglewood is slowly merging with the Abyss - the world of the undead. The Crater is now gone, replaced by a vaguely-defined red hellscape. However, this week we'll be fighting to take back the town, starting with the library. This will be happening in this thread (note that combat will be involved).
