A low growl came from the injured dog as Stryker approached, unsure if he was here to help or to do harm. Trust did not come easy for Rigel. He was taught to be cautious of strangers, no matter what. Unlike him, his sister would have talked any stranger to death. As for his brother, well, the other male a tendency to be flirtatious. Sometimes he questioned how they were related. All Rigel to defend himself was growl, nothing more. Even so, his growl did not last no more than a few seconds, given his energy was at an all time low. Rigel tensed as the larger animal made contact with him, but slowly relaxed once he understood they were here to help. Leaning against the other, the full extent of exhaustion and defeat washed over him, his body going numb. It felt like he was swimming at the bottom of the ocean with rocks in his belly.
Green-hazel eyes shifted up ever so slightly, searching for the second individual who arrived. Rigel knew he would be okay and was at no immediate risk for harm. Even if a threat were to arise, he cold not do much anyway. He was more likely to die before he could land a bite.
