Does she know how high she is? The sliver of a tail does not escape Bakugou's notice who is currently on patrol, walking about for any discrepancies that slither within the island's grounds. He remembers this young girl is blind, watching and realising the nature of their universe through sightless eyes, unable to ever fully appreciate the ocean. At this point, the reaver has stopped walking to raise and his head and squint to look at Keona. The sun, risen to its highest point, appears in between the cracks of leaves that provide shelter. It stings, makes his eyes water just a little to try and see the dappled silhouette of the kitten, climbing atop a tree. It's dangerous but Bakugou can't bring himself to speak, he doesn't want to say a word as he observes her carefully. She's too high up now for him to shout or say anything. If she falls, how can he catch her? He has no arms, no hands to try and hold her. All his has are his fire elementals which would surely just burn the poor girl, disfigure her skin with an ugly, charred, glossy exterior. His abilities lied in destruction and the only 'good thing' his powers gave was to cauterise wounds, but it was only ever useful if there was a healer around because they knew what they were doing.
Keona's been up there for a while now, he notes. The reaver has surprised himself with how long he has stayed around to make sure the girl is okay. It is not to say he cares about the child in particular but the ragdoll was simply lost in thought, mind delving into a realm of imagination and memories that he notices the feline must be stuck or something. "You, uh, okay up there?" Bakugou calls out, sounding rather gruff despite trying not to scare the feline. She most likely noticed his scent anyway before he spoke, but the male still wants to avoid being the sole reason a kitten jumps out of a tree and become jam. His mind remains trapped in questioning his own motives. There is no real gain for Bakugou standing around, perhaps it will cause him more inconveniences. And yet the tabby continues to convince himself of various excuses: it is his job, he got distracted and now has to help her, he has nothing better to do.
