☀ — just two ghosts standing in the place of you and me

Despite his rather airy demeanor, Pierce was a surprisingly observant individual when he really tried. Unfortunately for him, he hadn't been trying, not at all, when he'd been stepping across the boardwalk to reenter his home, so the approaching form of Bucky had gone completely unnoticed by him until just a moment too late. The pot of little pink flowers, which had been held delicately in his teeth when they collided, fell to the ground and shattered rather dramatically on impact, dirt and clay showering the paws of the two toms.
A small frown found its way to Pierce's features as the Sunhavener he'd run into, who he now identified as Bucky, spoke. Sorry? Weren't they both at fault, technically. Pierce gave a small shake of his head, taking a step away from the mess. "Oh, don't worry, hun, that- that was all me. I completely forget what I'm doing with myself, sometimes," the freckled Goldenblood assured him with a gentle smile, though his honey gaze was fixed on the plant that had been so rudely uprooted. "Hey, do you, uh, think you could help me clean this up, though? That seems like a good enough apology on both sides, to me." They'd both made a mess, so they should both clean it up, right? It sounded fair enough to him.
