"Freedom," Morgan echoed, considering the term. What did that mean, really? At the very least it seemed different from the Pitt's willingness to take away one's freedoms for the sake of another's. Yet, the samoyed thought, it was hardly much of a law to represent. Still, an ideal was better than nothing, and it already seemed like a step up from how passive some of the other groups could be. "In Tanglewood we stand for progress and the greater good of the group."
The admission of not having a lot to stand for was refreshing, and the statement afterward made perfect sense to the canine. He would not let himself admit it, but he felt something truly unique on the battlefield whenever he found himself in the middle of one. Even if Tanglewood hadn't ever raided another group, he couldn't fault the Rosebloods for taking the chance to do so themselves. "I see. Maybe we can have a mock raid or spar sometime then," he suggested with a shrug. His group had sustained many injuries recently, but any chance to toughen them all up would be appreciated.
Prestige's request was as simple as it was agreeable. Morgan nodded, a hint of a smile finding its way onto his face. For the time being, Tanglewood had no allies or proper enemies; ever since Beck left, allegiances were completely changed. "Sounds reasonable, I think. We in Tanglewood are even now working on expanding our own resources. You'll find that we'll have plenty to trade soon enough. For now, we mostly just have dangerous herbs and poisoned swamp water, both of which could be useful in war. Soon we'll have more... interesting things to trade, like metal, fish, fruit, and clothing. We still have to work on those some more, though. Everything takes time."
Stepping forward until he was muzzle-to-muzzle with the other leader, he announced, "It's nice to meet you, Pharaoh Prestige. And you too, Blueridge. Consider yourselves allies to Tanglewood."
