The dog's frozen tail continued to wag. "Mor, gan, Morgan." Something about the two-syllable sound felt fitting to the samoyed. The rest of what the tabby said was lost to it, but it liked what it had heard. The dog stepped closer still, and gave the witch-cat a brief sniff to remember the scent. "Sir say."

The future was as uncertain as ever for the young canine, but its new friends made it seem brighter. It seemed that this was the start of a new life - a real one.
