[font=trebuchet ms]The act of contacting the dead through magic was one Rin had considered, but never actually tried. So far as she knew, she had no magical aptitude, so she figured she was more likely to accidentally summon a demon than actually reach her intended target. Besides, Suiteheart, Margaery, and Starrynight had all probably moved on from this world for good. She couldn't try to approach those she had known before losing her memories, either, as she had no idea who she was looking for (other than a few vague parameters that could refer to almost anyone). Unless they came to her, she had determined that she would need her memories back in order to reach them.
Maybe it was for the better that she did not remember. If everyone else from her previous life had moved on, it was probably best that she do the same.
Still, she wondered.
Following Bast up to the Great Oak, Rin watched silently as Feyre recited the incantation for a second time. As the soft blue and yellow aura manifested before them, her eyes fixed on it, ears perking up. Though unrecognizable as anyone she knew, the sight still intrigued her. This girl did appear to have some connection to the afterlife; very curious indeed.
With a small gust of wind, it disappeared. Rin let out a breath that she didn't realize she had been holding, then turned to Feyre- a look of concern crossing her features as she noticed the blood trickling from the child's nose. Using powers did sometimes have side effects, and as far as those went a nosebleed was relatively minor, but continuing further was probably not a good idea. "I saw it," she confirmed, twitching her ears. "But you've strained yourself enough today. I'd recommend you stop."
