Many amongst them knew of various languages, spoke them within a free manner for some had learnt it before the more common was taught to them, others given years to practice and perfect it. And yet Silus seemed amongst the few who held no inkling of other language, had learnt only the common tongue for it was easiest to pick up, yet he longed to learn more.
His pace slowed some, though still he moved closer for he had no wish to find himself taking a spill back down the slope towards the beach, looking towards the other with a mix of curiosity and faint distrust in dark brown eyes. For a time he didn't speak, though his hands moved to curl almost protectively about the pocket set low on his stomach, until he noticed her gaze was strange. Though upon him for the most part, if a little off center, she seemed to look through him rather than at him. “Oh ah, yeah,” quickly the words tumbled from the child, sheepish now, a faint touch of pink within his cheeks reflecting the tone of slight embarrassment within his voice.
It did not matter he was a child he was meant to present himself within a certain fashion but he had been taken by surprise when the frog had first showed itself and went about catching it with glee, never thinking he would end up meeting another on the way back.
For a short moment his eyes narrowed as the words spoken towards him registered, turning with a question upon his lips until he noticed the hearing aids, a smile quickly rising. Indeed no compliment would arise, prone to being rather reserved Sil held no want to have aspects of his own person pointed out and thought little of doing so for others, but all too clear was his joy at this new development, one he likely would give his full attention later when they were alone.
“Didn' ask, 'e sure is chatty though,” as if to show indeed it was a croak arose from his pocket once more and from it a head poked out. Blinking a few times it made to jump but Silus proved a tad quicker, gently taking hold of the frog and lifting it up, spreading his hands out so it sat on his palms. Somewhat plain it was green with patches of grey and brown along it, giving a croak every now and then though it seemed content, for the moment at least, to simply sit in his cupped hands. "Wanna 'elp me name 'im?"
