CAPTAINPAW
✯ — YOUNG LOVERS AND THEY ARE NOT SLEEPING

he felt like his body was swaying, but couldn't tell if it was from being out on the waves for so long or if he really was struggling for balance. closing his eyes made him feel like he was still on the ship. rocking back and forth on the water. listening to the waves crash against the surface. when he opened them again, taking a deep inhale, he saw her. she had a walking stick now. she was outside of her bedroom, though. she was... alive.
he didn't have the energy to run to her like he might have before. nor to call out her name and greet her with bursting happiness. he waited for her to see him, and he cracked the biggest smile on his maw when she rushed to his malnourished form. cap practically melted into her touch and pushed his muzzle into her fur. if he had the ability, the hydration to he would've cried. he had missed everyone so much, but goldie, elia, and his father the most. being without them for so long had been absolute hell. lost, alone. nothing but his own thoughts of returning home to keep him going.
"i got... lost. the stars lead... lead me back." he rasped, speaking slowly as his throat kept drying up. he had tried to keep himself hydrated with his own water rations he brought with him, but they had only been enough to last a few days at most. "it was so l-lonely goldie." he whined, pushing further into her.
cap's ears perked up as caesar spoke up, then the arrival of two other crewmates. he didn't recognize linux, but he did nod in agreement at her statement. he knew he looked like rubbish. it was a miracle himself that he made it off the boat.
"i tried... tried sailing. only for a few days... a storm..." he shook his head and coughed, trying to remember what he could. the stress of the situation had triggered his narcolepsy, and only the rising wave had been the last thing he'd seen. looking to lucifer, he nodded his head quickly. "y-yes... please..." rosemary would make him feel better again. she would fix him up just like she did to vandal and goldie.
