captainpaw's disappearance may have easily undergone little notice for some of his crewmates, and perhaps was aware to some. the young striker hadn't intentionally left the typhoon, per say. there was just one afternoon where he felt the need to... run. something lingered in his chest since decius had brought him into the jungle. he still felt the pain. the emotional hurt that sat heavy on his shoulders.
the boy had taken to a small vessel, one he had won from coldblue after beating him in a bet. a day of sailing would help clear his head. hopefully take some of the pressure of keeping decius a secret from everyone... the stress had eventually gotten to captain in the middle of steering through on oncoming storm. his brain fogged, and his throat tightened and it all.. faded away. he woke up the next morning unaware of where he was. there was nothing but sea around him. it was a miracle he and his ship were still even in one piece. the aspiring pirate did not look at this as a hopeless end, rather an obstacle to overcome. something to teach him as he grew. it had certainly taken him quite some time to return home, though. days of mapping out the stars, using them to guide his way. trying to remember which constellations stood over barracuda bay at night, and hope his memory was true. a month had gone by. upon the dock one morning, a small ship came into port. captainpaw's bod was dangerously thin. his hat sunk heavy on his head, cheeks and eyes sunken in and his limbs shaking with every step. his pelt crusted with salt, his nose dry and paw pads cracked. he made it, though. he survived. "c-captainpaw slys. reporting... reporting back." cap muttered, his voice dry in his attempt to announce his return. though his body just stood shakily on the docks, using the bare bones of energy he had left to just stand upright. space

CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. OFFICER.
Captainpaw hadn't been missed by Caesar, although that was mostly because the Officer had been sick and unfortunately hadn't really had the time to notice who was gone and who wasn't. After he finally recovered, he just didn't give a shit anymore and carried on as normal, completely disregarding anybody who had left in the past couple of weeks. Caesar's ears flicked as he arrived soon after Goldenluxury, rolling his eyes at her stammering. "Yeah, welcome back, I suppose." The demon grumbled, looking over at Captainpaw now. "Where'd you go?" He asked, deciding to act like he cared. Re: THE OCEAN IS YOUR HOME ;; return/ish - Luciferr - 08-28-2018

"The endless Void, The gazing abyss, The bottomless ocean of horror... It coiled itself around your tender heart." "Welcome back" he did indeed remember captainpaw and had often been silently worried when the feline had disappeared but he didn't rove out searching, often members did disappear to go henceforth into the unknown and suddenly come back quite often. but he hadn't missed the almost ever present feline's presence suddenly no longer being around - given the dynamic duo he and Goldie had often been as friends, it wasn't hard to notice the absence. Lucifer merely dipped his head however with a smile for the friends reunion but worried after the condition "Do you need rosemary?" it looked more like the feline needed food, water and a good nights sleep but if he'd been in that condition long, then certain other factors might've crept in which a medic or mamba here would be better left to diagnose. "you look terrible." flatly the young naive child came out with the rude statement without the nasty intent, but failed to filter out what was unnecessary and what was important yet. blush pink gaze raked over captainpaw's tired and worn-out frame, his wrecked state somewhat shocking the smaller kitten in it's fragility. it was a mystery to the child how the boy was even alive, and an even bigger mystery as to how the mambas were going to fix him. linux admittedly was eager to hear from cap all about where he went. it didn't seem like a fun place. he felt like his body was swaying, but couldn't tell if it was from being out on the waves for so long or if he really was struggling for balance. closing his eyes made him feel like he was still on the ship. rocking back and forth on the water. listening to the waves crash against the surface. when he opened them again, taking a deep inhale, he saw her. she had a walking stick now. she was outside of her bedroom, though. she was... alive.
he didn't have the energy to run to her like he might have before. nor to call out her name and greet her with bursting happiness. he waited for her to see him, and he cracked the biggest smile on his maw when she rushed to his malnourished form. cap practically melted into her touch and pushed his muzzle into her fur. if he had the ability, the hydration to he would've cried. he had missed everyone so much, but goldie, elia, and his father the most. being without them for so long had been absolute hell. lost, alone. nothing but his own thoughts of returning home to keep him going. "i got... lost. the stars lead... lead me back." he rasped, speaking slowly as his throat kept drying up. he had tried to keep himself hydrated with his own water rations he brought with him, but they had only been enough to last a few days at most. "it was so l-lonely goldie." he whined, pushing further into her. cap's ears perked up as caesar spoke up, then the arrival of two other crewmates. he didn't recognize linux, but he did nod in agreement at her statement. he knew he looked like rubbish. it was a miracle himself that he made it off the boat. "i tried... tried sailing. only for a few days... a storm..." he shook his head and coughed, trying to remember what he could. the stress of the situation had triggered his narcolepsy, and only the rising wave had been the last thing he'd seen. looking to lucifer, he nodded his head quickly. "y-yes... please..." rosemary would make him feel better again. she would fix him up just like she did to vandal and goldie. space

"The endless Void, The gazing abyss, The bottomless ocean of horror... It coiled itself around your tender heart." he dips his head and shifts to take off and find the healer - give her a quicker airlift to her patient - he won't dally when someone's life or health is on the line, besides which the returned Crewmate has Goldie here to keep him grounded, all in all he's glad he's back - and silently morose that his many forays across the ocean patrols he hadn't found the storm swept off kid. Coming back with Lucifer, she found Captainpaw and his ragtag group of supporters (though Rosemary supposed Caesar failed to qualify - he seemed as comforting as a wet blanket in a blizzard) rather quickly. Before she took off, though, she grabbed a leg of deer from the pile; by Lucifer's description, the apprentice needed a lot of good meals now that he returned. As she looked over the boy's thin form, she silently wondered if she should've brought him a whole damn horse.

"Well, you're a fine sailor if you managed to make it back like that," Rosemary complemented with a nod, though - per usual - her kind words fell a bit flat as her compassion failed to shine through her eyes. Internally, of course, she felt quite happy that the apprentice managed to live and return to their happy group; self expression, simply, came difficult to her. But she expressed her feelings better with tangible acts, anyway; as she did now, by placing the deer leg in front of him as well as a flask of fresh water. "Three days of bed rest for you, with plenty of food and water - I want to keep an eye on your fluid intake. Did you suffer from any headaches, eye strain, things like that since you were... stranded? Did you drink any sea water?" she spoke, a bit worried about how far his dehydration went. © MADI
