They had tried to tame her mess of curls that morning, brushstroke after brushstroke pulled through the tangles in a fruitless attempt to make her appear a little less wild and a little more like a young lady. Cleo hadn't originally been opposed to the process, but sat there fuming now, scalp burning as the unfamiliar woman continued to tug and pull and tug and pull. Though not certain, the child presumed that her hair looked even worse than before, a frizzy thing that was not so easily manipulated into looking neat and orderly, her reasons for being there and being cooperative dwindling to only a few select few- namely, owning up for her recent bratty behavior. She'd sigh, tempted to put her face into the palms of her tiny hands before she was suddenly (and miraculously) alerted that the lady was all done and that she was free to go.
Thank god, Cleo thought to herself, rising in an abrupt motion only to fetch Eshe from the table in which she rested upon. The snake looked relieved to be once more in the hands of her carrier, the deaf girl's presence enough to sate any restless emotions she might have detected otherwise. She smiled brightly before scampering away, drawn elsewhere by some sort of innate sibling instinct, those reddish-brown eyes of hers bright as she found who she was looking for. "Hello, brother!" Her greeting sounded, cheery and appearing seemingly unbothered by the problems that currently vexed her, "Did I hear something about a frog?" Ah yes, she did hear something about a frog, twirling to show off the hearing aids that she wore in both ears. She didn't anticipate any compliments or even notice of her newest (and most favorite) piece of technology, but was keen on highlighting the fact that sounds came loud and clear to her now. "What's the frog's name, Silus? You've got to tell me!"
(i needed cheery cleo in ONE thread lol,,, also this is so bad bc i'm rushed i'm sorry!!)
