"Funny. I don't take orders from children either! I was thinking that during the meeting, Player!" Thea tilted her head, grin still on her face as she tried to push the hybrid's buttons. She didn't take orders from most people, actually. Oni's words had her pricking her ears, and the next taunt was towards the tiny little feline who thought he could talk big. "Are you gonna be the one to put me in my place, then? Or you gonna sit there? Cause I'd love to see you try." It'd be easy to kill him, considering the fact it seemed like a strong gust of wind could easily blow the little feline over. But it wouldn't be much of a challenge, then, would it? Nope.
Killing a fellow Ascendent? Before, the thought had simply never crossed the leopard's mind, and even if it had, something other than indifference would be felt, something similar to anger. Now? She was at the point where she would do it, and not even bat an eye.
Something had snapped in Thea, during the meeting, at least, it was the reason for this change in behavior. Not that Thea knew, or cared. She just wanted to win. Something that had been well-hidden during her stay here in the Ascendents so far, behind that cheerful demeanor she possessed. Cavalry's words were ignored by the young Fireball, for the most part.
Grin still on her face, growing wider now, and pupils constricting, she teleported, reappearing just under Playerone, hopefully just out of sight, and aimed to slam her paw into the hybrid's chest, hoping to knock the wind out of her or worse.
It's not that. It wasn't just a title. It was an accomplishment. Accomplishments mean everything in this world. Strength means everything in this world. If you didn't have it, what were you living for? What was the point of living if you were weak?
