I'll never let a sole regret rain down on me (open, challenging Crowd) - MirrorEdge - 08-19-2018

Thea... wasn't doing her best, to be honest. The events of the lockdown, as well as being demoted, wasn't the best thing for her, as her mind, which had been in a much more stable place before, and she had been the most 'normal' she had been in a long while, began to head into a more downwards spiral. She usually bounced back, but the issue was, it was impossible to tell when she would.

This was what led to her decision to fight Playerone.

"PLAYERONE! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE! FIGHT ME!"

She stood with that unnatural grin on her face, just outside the Observatory, as she waited. She would be fighting inside the Observatory, no. She'd do her best to stay outside, where she felt more at ease.

[color=#b59693]"Is this all really necessary?"

Margaery's inquiry was paired with a sigh, a frown curving chocolate colored lips as she came to a halt before Thea. Fighting at a time like this seemed to benefit nobody but if it was what it was and she dared not try to stop it. Besides, maybe a fight like this one would provide a bit of much needed entertainment, especially if she viewed it as more of a spar than anything else. [color=#b59693]"At least try to fight fair," The vampiress suddenly added, [color=#b59693]"You two still are clanmates."

I had been hanging out near the Starpool, enjoying the sounds of the waves hitting the land near my paws. I was a tired soul. And for once I was sober as hell and just wanted to enjoy some peace and quiet, until an all-too familiar voice screamed my name, demanding my attention. A grunt was earned from me as I reluctantly stood up and walked away from my spot, gracefully walking over to meet up with Thea. Huh. She was intent on fighting me.

"I don't remember taking orders from children." A smirk was on my face as I sat down, body stance neutral. "But if you insist on fighting me, I could use some entertainment." Yes, it was an open invitation. If she wanted to be a fool at the meeting, and now here, then I was more than happy to put her in her place. Anyone who opposed this, especially after Thea's demand, could kiss my ass.

"Show me what you've got."

"I hope Thea gets her ass handed to her." Onision grunted as he hauled himself over to sit beside his mother, cold blue orbs narrowed in disgust at the in-fighting happening in front of him. He didn't know how far Thea would go, but from his own experience with her, she seemed to have no limits until someone stopped her. Oni hated that. "I'm surprised Bast didn't knock sense into her.." He grumbled almost inaudibly, tail flicking side to side.

For now, he'd just watch.

"Im surprised about that too actually" a drawl rumbled as a large spined predator settled herself down near beside Onison "I'd have knocked her flat on 'er ass" she hummed - fuckin right to, it had been a fair decision, Thea was just whining to her eyes, ugh.

so she settled in to watch the ensuing fight, patting space beside her "Y'wanna chill with me Margaritta? they'd probbably need a referee to make sure they don't actually kill each other - an I can always sit on em if so" she snorted - ah, she almost felt like she was ack in the exiles again.

[align=center][div style="width: 51%; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -1px; font-family: georgia;"]"Whoever wins will be exiled, chased out, whatever does the job. How does that sound, since you all seem so keen on harming your clanmates when you ought to be learning to cooperate with them?" He looks across the clearing and sees a child. Two children, really, but Crowdcontrol has yet to show much beyond their words and so he can only work with what he can observe. Thea is a fiesty one for sure, and they'll certainly grow up to be a willing fighter for their clan - but not if their sole intent was to pick fights with anyone who disagreed with them. They would only be of use if they knew how to fall into line when necessary; this was a bitter lesson Cavalrychoirs was willing to teach, whether Thea chose to learn the hard way or not. Polite obedience, not blind conformity, would do them all well.

"Hopefully that deters you both from attacking one another. If not, so be it - but whoever breaks skin will be attacked in turn for assaulting a clanmate. I believe that's reasonable, since you've both made it clear that this is not just a mere sparring match."

[div style="width: 45%; line-height: 14px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 13px;"]"Yeah, yeah, yeah, don't slice an arm off 'n' shit," the cyborg drawled as he made his way over, offering the form of Cavalrychoirs a somewhat playful roll of his eyes as he spoke. Easy there, man. To be frank, he wasn't particularly pleased with the current situation of some disgruntled members lashing out at others. But honestly? Some people just had to be put in their place, and he'd be willing to understand that. A few minor wounds, a scratch or a bite or a scar, maybe some bleeding. Nothing major, no broken limbs or maiming. Just the normal shit he'd come to expect. Zjarr firmly believed that scuffling one's way to regaining their high position wasn't likely the best route unless you were in some mindless warbound group, but he'd let the two have their fun for the time being.

"Y'all go enjoy yourselves, and, uh, try not to play too rough, eh? No use breakin' legs and slashin' throats over losin' a little title."

"Funny. I don't take orders from children either! I was thinking that during the meeting, Player!" Thea tilted her head, grin still on her face as she tried to push the hybrid's buttons. She didn't take orders from most people, actually. Oni's words had her pricking her ears, and the next taunt was towards the tiny little feline who thought he could talk big. "Are you gonna be the one to put me in my place, then? Or you gonna sit there? Cause I'd love to see you try." It'd be easy to kill him, considering the fact it seemed like a strong gust of wind could easily blow the little feline over. But it wouldn't be much of a challenge, then, would it? Nope.

Killing a fellow Ascendent? Before, the thought had simply never crossed the leopard's mind, and even if it had, something other than indifference would be felt, something similar to anger. Now? She was at the point where she would do it, and not even bat an eye.

Something had snapped in Thea, during the meeting, at least, it was the reason for this change in behavior. Not that Thea knew, or cared. She just wanted to win. Something that had been well-hidden during her stay here in the Ascendents so far, behind that cheerful demeanor she possessed. Cavalry's words were ignored by the young Fireball, for the most part.

Grin still on her face, growing wider now, and pupils constricting, she teleported, reappearing just under Playerone, hopefully just out of sight, and aimed to slam her paw into the hybrid's chest, hoping to knock the wind out of her or worse.

It's not that. It wasn't just a title. It was an accomplishment. Accomplishments mean everything in this world. Strength means everything in this world. If you didn't have it, what were you living for? What was the point of living if you were weak?

"Why don't you focus on not losing this fight before you pick one with me?" Onision grumbled, flicking his tail against Etty's side once she settled down beside him. "Mind if I come up and chill on top of you? Better view, you're warmer, too." Oni asked the spinosaurus, tilting his head to the side.

It wasn't that Oni didn't want to beat the shit out of Thea, it was that he couldn't. Not in this form. But, he was scolded after he had found his wolf form. He couldn't use it. It'd kill someone. Maybe that was the difference between Thea and Onision. Killing someone was the last thing on his mind, if that. He couldn't fathom killing another person, even if it was on accident.

Oni had the heart of a warrior, but he had morals.

Alex was just gonna admit it, he was greatly intimidated by Thea. While the others just seemed to roll their eyes and scold her for being so quick to confrontation, Alexander was unnerved by the combination of a cheery demeanor and inclination to violence. After all, something didn't seem all that right upstairs when she was so....vacant. Not in an unintelligent sense, no, in the sense that she didn't seem to feel much else at all. Or at the very least she didn't show it. It was just so off putting, robotic, even. To put it bluntly, Alex didn't trust Thea, and that was that.

"Teleportation, cowardice." He muttered under his breath, feeling a twinge of anger in his chest with the way she talked during all this, addressed Onision, started this mess to begin with. "No one cares for your taunts. Just fight and be done with it." Was he a fan of this? No, of course not. He was a peacekeeper, not a warrior, not completely berserk. But Thea was set on this fight, there was no talking her down, just through.
