Although she was always alert anyway and a small movement in a corner caught her attention. Orange red eyes shifted over to the area slowly as claws scrapped against the ground and she straightened up just a bit more. The figure that approached was none other than Deval. Her head tilted to the side as she took in the way he advanced forward, circling them with ears laid flat. His saliva coated teeth visible for the barest of moments but she also saw the none aggression in his body language and she allowed a even tilt of her head when he bowed for that short moment. Interesting. She wasn't the type to be all too comfortable around the youths but she did have a daughter at one point in her life. One whom was still dear to her heart but she also had a feeling that she wouldn't see Sephora again. She hoped that nothing had happened to the young doe. Her tail lightly twitched, a minor movement before she gave a half nod of her head even as Jiyu approached the scene. "He's a friend, Deval. We have a long history together and he's my boyfriend." The idea struck her then. Would they ever get married? It was plausible but she wasn't sure of it just yet.
Shifting her gaze back to Jiyu she allowed an even look to spread over her facial features. Her eyes were placid for the moment and showed a false semblance of peace. One ear twitched as she listened to the surrounding area for any other movement that would tell her others were approaching before she allowed a minor scoff to lift from her muzzle. "Well, we were told to handle the situation peacefully." It was a good idea to start with peace first. That was their only warning in what they had done and she understood that. If they didn't then that wasn't her problem but their own and it wouldn't make their lives any easier. Although she guessed that they didn't have to be peaceful upon the border if they didn't want to be. But the lack of forethought from one of their members was interesting to say the least.
