It's long forked tongue flicked out nervously as it appeared that the jackal had sniffed the air, the drenched mixture of rainwater and the rotting scent of fish coming from the odd glowing toxic liquid that dripped from the gills of Pincher. Who's there? The glazed wide empty eyes of Pincher narrowed to slit as the demigod did not respond, didn't believe that they needed to as they slowly lowered themselves to the drenched ground, ignoring the mud that was beginning to cling to the edges of their fur that covered their snarling stomach. It tipped its head ever so slightly to the side as it noticed the jackal bare its teeth, the invisibility power now cloaking Pincher's towering broad-shouldered figure, blending into the darkness that surrounded the temple. Papercutter. A name. A connection. Was this why the being was hesitant to strike? The virus tugged at its reigns on the body, furiously demanding that they satisfy the hunger they craved. Food was essential and they craved the flesh of the crewmate.

Pincher noticed that Papercutter was staring straight in their direction, causing their foggy gaze to flicker around to see if anyone else was around. Nobody. Perfect. The controlled being began to stalk forward but suddenly teleported, using every power that the vessel held to win their prize. It attempted to teleport behind the coyote and flicker out of invisibility, a wicked toothy manical grin lacing their jaws as the wildcat suddenly lurched forward, teeth aiming to sink into the face of the jackal, one canine furiously attempting to bite off the eye of the male. Pincher's chest felt tight but they weren't sure why. Was it the tugging of Pincher trying to takeover? To stop it before anything else happened? They didn't know but they also didn't care. They needed to eat.
