He half hoped Gabriel would take it, but he didn't say that, too caught up in his thoughts to even attempt some quick banter with the hybrid. A few seconds of silence passed, and as a bigger crowd came over to offer their insight towards the item, he couldn't hold it back anymore.
The canine's usually-heterochromic gaze was quick to transform into the two pupil-less black eyes that followed emotions such as this, but before anyone could point it out (and hopefully also see), he quickly turned away with a low growl. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't good. It meant that his greatest fears were soon to come. The pendant meant to be wary, to remember his place.
Lirim was back, and their control was imminent.
"I'm going back to sleep," his voice was gritted between a clenched jaw, muscles strained as he turned around and started to walk back towards his hut, mind blazing with hundreds of possibilities that all sounded wrong no matter what. "I advise you all to do the same."
