The task was to prank someone. 'The clan needs something to lighten it up!' said Tuxedolung, or something along those lines, and that was all well and good, but Moon was exhausted and still had work to do and the weather was horrible and he'd gotten soaked so now he smelled like wet cat and-- Long story short, he was in a bad fucking mood. If he tried for an actual prank right now, someone would most likely end up injured, and he was such a good Halo he'd probably turn up without herbs, like the other day, and they'd die and then he'd spiral into an abyss of self-loathing and probably run frantic and aimless into the endless plains, never to return.
So he wasn't doing that. Or, he was. But the prank he chose was far more... Low-key. Far more socially acceptable. He'd hung posters left, right and center of the Ascendant's territory advertising a Blood Moon Livestream in the Planetarium, and given their Clan all had some sort of astrology fetish, he was confident a good crowd would turn up.
But, you guessed it-- there was no Blood Moon stream on display. Instead, the soft voice of Duchess and Thomas bounced off the walls and echoed behind the noise of the rain battering on the roof. Most would expect Moon to hijack the Planetarium and put up some tasteless shit like Hentai or something, but today was a long, grey day, and the only thing he cared to watch were the Aristocats on a massive HD screen, and the only freaky noises he cared to hear were the sounds of Scat Cat in the background of Everybody Wants To Be A Cat. Moon lay curled in one of the chairs, a tight ball of golden fur with his head on his paws like a pouting puppy, gaze trained on the screen. The scene where Duchess and Thomas sat atop the roof, gazing at the silver orb in the sky like the saps they were was playing, so no one could call Moon out if they were to arrive now. He'd never said it'd be a real moon. Cartoon was good enough.
The air was thick with nostalgia. Chill vibes, or whatever. All that was missing was some hot chocolate, blankets, and maybe some outraged star nerds.
