KILLUA
.
Killua didn't patrol the borders for the sake of the groups that he was staying with. He considered that would be a huge waste of his time as he didn't really consider himself to be the type to really get into clan affairs. He did what he wanted and there was anyone around to try and stop him if they didn't like what he did. So far, there weren't any sort of complaints when it came to his choice of words when it came to regarding others. Not like he would change if they started to complain about it. It would certainly be interesting to see their reaction toward when he started to defy what they wanted and potentially what they stood up for. There were no interactions with the other groups that lived in the area, and Killua certainly found that interesting because he knew there were other groups. He had done a little bit of research of the area, including the territory itself to figure out how everything was laid out and figure out if the group was hiding something in the outskirts of the clan. This didn't seem to be the case, but he had just been skimming the area and hadn't really been trying when it came to really digging for evidence. Why were the animals here so happy and carefree? He was so used for everyone being incredibly bitter all the time. Except for his adopted sister but that now felt like ages ago since the last time he had talked to her. Or if she was even alive. All he knew was that he was driving his families influence away from her, so she should be more than safe at the moment. He knew she had be. There would be no other answer that he would actually settle for at the moment. Over the span of his short life, Killua had seen almost and every type of environment that spanned across the world. Cities, abandoned cities, museums, caves, islands in the sky, marshland, plains. He has seen it all, at least in his mind. When he first arrived at the border himself not too long ago, he knew what most of the territory was going to end up looking like based on all the snow that seemed to be around all the time. It provided him with great camouflage that actually helped him while he was hunting instead of being stuck out like a sore thumb. Either way, Killua was the type of youngster that could grow bored incredibly quickly. Him being bored could leave someone in danger if he was bored for too long at least. The wildcat had to keep his mind busy before his mind reverted back to his usual bad habits that had been struggling to break all of this time. This was the primary reason he had stayed away from the groups that were primarily about killing. One was that they annoyed the hell out of him, and the other half was that he didn't want to be a killer anymore. Circusclown had taught him a lesson that everyone deserved to live to a certain extent because their lives were so short. Everyone just wanted to enjoy their life for as long as they could. That's all he had ever wanted in his life, but his overall possessive and his incredibly strong family didn't exactly want to give him any leg room when it came to what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. After all, he was nothing more than an object to them anyway. Hence being the reason why he had been trying to run away from his family so that he could find a life for himself. Which was easier said than done when he had little to no proper social skills. He could technically lie his entire way to try and get close to someone, but once he would give that creature they truth they would probably look at him like he was a monster. Was that what he was? A monster? The term felt bitter on his tongue. It made him sick to his stomach.
The assassin enjoyed being in elevated areas for many reason. It gave him a chance to look at the large expanse of the land even if it did take him a little while to climb if he wasn't using his powers. It also gave him a chance to look at the beauty of some landscapes. Despite being a killer he could appreciate the world in a couple of different ways here and there. He wasn't barbaric, he was just misinformed about how the world worked by his family. Did he expect to get pity from others for his tragic upbringing? Of course not. In fact, if anyone did that he would probably be pretty annoyed at the notion. He was as strong as he was now because of his family, and he would only appreciate them for physically building him up to be strong. Other than that though, he couldn't care less if they ended up getting themselves killed, especially his older brother. There was a chance that he might care if his father died as it meant he would become the head of the family whether it liked it or not. He would be somewhat disappointed if his grandfather died because the old man had been pretty nice through his entire upbringing and was down to earth compared to his mother or his oldest brother. The albino serval was still growing and still had just as much to learn like the rest of those that were his age. The former deputy was sitting in one of the pine trees, he had found a tall one in the middle of the forest and was using it to look off into the horizon to see if he could see any shapes in the distance. His eyes were good, yes, but they would never be as great compared to that of a raptor. Killua was fairly close to the border all things considered, but it wasn't like anyone would be able to see him in the snow crusted tree that easily. They couldn't catch his scent either thanks to his use of air elementals keeping it so that he didn't give off any scent. All of the powers he had could be used to make sure that no one would know he was ever there. He blinked his sapphire blue optics when he heard a soft tone not too far away from where he was at. From the sound, it was near the border, meaning that it was someone new. Instead of climbing down the tree, he instead leapt to the next tree that was adjacent to the one that he was on. No sound emitting from his movements thanks to his air elementals acting like a cushion for his steps at all times. After a couple of seconds, Killua found himself on a branch that was directly above the females head. A clouded leopard? He hasn't seen one of those for a while. His long metal claws glistened in the light that reflected off of the snow from above. Raising one of said paws, the assassin conjured up a lollipop that he quickly popped into his mouth. In a matter of seconds the smell of candy wafted through the air, which the clouded leopard would be able to smell. "You lost or something?" The bored voice of the apprentice finally rang out above the female in the trees. It wouldn't be hard to see him now. His eyes would be trained on her the entire time, in almost a predatory way. He honestly didn't care why others approached this place as it was none of his business. Anyone could do whatever the hell they wanted, he wasn't going to judge them.
