BODIE
// mobile, excuse the sloppiness aaaa
A kitten had been the first to greet him. A scrawny little kitten, at that. A number of animals were known to instinctively prey on cats, and canines were no exception. However, you wouldn’t be experiencing any aggression from Bodie. He was raised to respect all creatures, from the tallest tree to the tiniest ant. German Shepherds were known to be one of the more dangerous breeds of dog, with those teeth and those unshakeable, scissor-grip jaws, but Bodie was hardly ever a threat. No, the only thing he really used was his nose. He had an impeccable sense of smell and hearing.
So, Bodie simply wasn’t a threat to the young kit. In fact, he had managed a small smile and was slightly lowering towards the ground so that his height wouldn’t be so off-putting. Upon further observation, Bodie observed that this she-kit was blind. Her sightless luminaries were incredible, and the fact that she had navigated herself out here was even more so. A part of him wanted to ask her about that, but he also knew that some people were particularly sensitive about their conditions. So, the German Shepherd answered in a friendly tone of voice, “Why hello, miss Keona. ‘m just a traveler. Say, is there anyone I could talk to about—“
Before he could finish his question, another presence had arrived. This time, an adult. It was a wolf, by the looks of it, and she was littered with scars. Bodie couldn’t help but wonder about them. Wolves were tough, wild creatures. They tended to get into a lot of scraps over the years, and this fae was no exception. The good thing was that she didn’t appear to be in any physical pain. The dog rose back to his paws, standing at full height, and he slightly raised his brows. Wow, that was quite the name. “This place is called The Typhoon? It looks mighty nice here, I’d say. More like a paradise than a typhoon.” The canine commented, his Southern accent quite noticeable in his words. Bodie returned a smile, and he continued, “My name’s Bodie, miss. I was wonderin’ if I could stay here.” He glanced downward briefly before meeting her gaze once more, “My paws are gettin’ awfully tired from walkin’.” Not to mention that he wanted to explore the island, which was rich in plants and animals... perhaps new ones that he had never seen before.
