But Margaery's soft tones lured her out soon enough, the little calico taking clumsy steps out of the rose bush. "Not hurt," She mumbled, rubbing her eyes. "Alone." Her voice was quiet, her yellow gaze avoiding the older cat's - she didn't want to burden this nice lady. She'd already made her uncle leave, she didn't want to risk it with this lady either.
"Sorry." The girl mumbled tearfully, looking at the ground. She wasn't entirely sure what she was apologising for, but it seemed like the right thing to do. "I was bad and my uncle went away." Melody blamed herself, of course. Again, the thoughts swirled in her mind; if only she'd been quieter, more obedient, maybe she wouldn't be alone now. The tears fell from her muzzle and onto the ground as her eyes seemed to bore a hole into the ground, she was staring so intensely.
