Ascendants. He could not remember his original group, but he knew that the name of this group was vastly different. He could never find another group like his original one. An ear twitched as he studied Thea carefully. Ascendants seemed like a friendly name ... maybe the name of a cult, and if it was, he was not going to like it here. Either way, he had hope with the way they seemed to accept Feliciano and him to stay as “temporary joiners”. All they needed was a place to stay for a few days. Maybe if they liked it here, they would stay, but that would be a question for another day, because his feet were starting to throb and with Feliciano’s prompting, he was starting to remember Ivan. Russian polar bear. He knew he was quite fond of Ivan in his previous “life”, a good friend, one of the very few he had not had a fallout with, and that was an accomplishment given Deutschland’s past friendships. ”Oh ... Oh, I’m starting to remember him now ...”
He already decided he was going to try to visit Ivan and he carefully kept a mental barrier up so Feliciano would not detect his thought. Maybe he could sneak out when Feliciano’s asleep. He really didn’t want to drag him across the lands again ... things could go wrong and he wouldn’t forgive himself if something bad happened. They said Tanglewood was an ally, but it was just always better to be safe than sorry.
Blinking out of his thoughts for a minute when Thea began speaking again, he concluded that Bastille was the leader and Suiteheart was the second in command. He nodded. It seemed fair. He had once been a leader and he liked to know who was coming and going through his group. Snowbound seemed very familiar, but his memory of groups was vague so he couldn’t say for sure. The German shepherd shrugged lightly. ”I don’t remember where we came from, but it was a place very far from here ... Snowbound sounds sort of familiar, but I know we originally come from a place further than that.”
