Nero lingered nearby, drawn over by the commotion and the growing group. He didn't understand a lot of the words being thrown around, but he could glean enough information to understand what had happened. One of the other groups had stolen a child away. "How horrible..." Nero spoke, his heart pounding behind his ribs. The last thing he wanted was a large scale fight with another group. The experience he had with Playerone was enough violence for a lifetime, and he chewed worriedly on his lip. "Can't we just ask them nicely to give her back?" He asked meekly, hoping that the whole thing was just one big misunderstanding. He couldn't fathom stealing a child away from their home, so he had begged the gods internally that she had gone with them willingly for sightseeing or supplies. But Nero wasn't stupid. He knew that the broken chain and the mess in general suggested otherwise. He hung his head in defeat, staring at his claws with watering eyes. He had to prepare himself for a fight. His mental promise to never willingly spill blood didn't apply in situations like this.
