It's still strange seeing Pincher stand before the crowd, addressing the masses as if nothing has changed. As if he had not died, as if Coldblue and Goldie and the rest of the crew had not mourned him. Can all people return from the dead? Is that a universal ability or is his father among the few capable of cheating death? It is strange and, frankly, it pisses Blue off. Pincher should not just be able to crawl out of the ocean waves and reenter the world of the living after two grief-stricken days. The bastard made Goldie cry—she blamed herself for not being able to save him! What kind of father does that to his child? He should not have been so prideful that he could not wake Goldie for help. So what if she sees him bleeding? It's better than waking up from slumber to find her dead father and beating herself up over how she could have saved him if one little thing was done differently.
Blue scowls as he approaches, frigid blue gaze avoiding the sickening sight of his father in favor of searching for his sister in the crowd. Suffice to say that the boy is angry at Pinch, even if he did shed a tear or two at the news that Father was back. Ever so gently, the boy rasps his tongue over the top of his sister's head in greeting as he settles beside her. He offers Wade and Roxanne a slight nod in greeting, but most of his attention remains on the health of his dearest sibling. Coldblue had prepared himself to tune out the announcements due to the simple fact that they never pertained to him, so imagine his surprise upon hearing his name called. "Hmm?" Oh, a shout out? "Uh, thanks, I guess." Blue tries to pretend that he is not pleased due to the resentment he holds for Pincher, but he really is pleased. It feels good to be praised. Doesn't happen much.
