ROCK THE BOAT — MEETING 6.25.18 - PINCHER - 06-25-2018 Pincher had returned. And he still couldn't believe it. He had come back from the dead, back to his home. And yet, it only caused a knot in his stomach to form as he stepped back from his desk inside the submarine, tired yet unable to sleep. He didn't feel normal despite being greeted by his crew, the relief to see that nothing had changed did not allow Pincher to be distracted by the ominous wonder of how had he returned and what had happened to him. The forked tongue, the new scars that decorated his body, and the tattoos. Tattoos he did not recall ever recieving while he was mortal nor did the resurrected male recall feeling the tattoos being placed on his skin when he had been in the darkness of the ocean. It frightened him and yet he knew it was best not to dwell on it especially with the leadership duties that he must take on despite the fatigue that devoured him and refused to let him go. He had no slept for four days and the saying "I'll sleep when I'm dead" didn't exactly comfort Pincher on the idea of taking a break from it all. Besides, he enjoyed the work, it allowed there to be distractions to the haunting thoughts that lurked inside his head as the male glanced towards the nearest window in his submarine to notice the sun had begun to set, the sky now streaked with briliant strokes of pink and orange mixed together. The loveliest sunsets could only be found here and it relaxed him as he inhaled a breath and headed out to lead the Typhoon once again. Once he stepped out, he glanced up at the crewmate that was given the duty to blow the conch to call the attention to everyone that there was a meeting. As he stepped into the familiar feel of the sand, his eyelids fluttered over his brilliant blue eyes as chills crawled up his spine. To feel dryness was almost an alien feeling to Pincher as he swallowed down a shaky gasp. He was fine. He was okay. Yet, Pincher didn't feel right. He felt empty. And he knew why. He could feel the emptiness. Having no heart any longer, what was keeping him alive? And where was his heart? The disgusting spear wound was no longer on his chest but rather a thin long scar, faded and hardly visible unless one looked closely. Pincher simply glanced at members as he noticed the numbers had increased while he was gone. Good. There would only be improvement from now on. His attention turned back to the cave that lead to the aquarium dome, his footsteps softly echoing in the darkness and then the blue glow that surrounded him as he entered the glass surrounded location. He felt another shiver run down his spine as he glanced at the vast ocean past the glass, the sealife that roamed and surrounded him causing a swell of anxiety to spike up but he bit down on his tongue and pushed onward until he reached the throne. He settled down on it, ears pricked as he kept a stoic expression yet one could see the wornness of Pincher's travel in his physique. His ribs could be easily visible, his pelt still slick with seasalt, and the rings of darkness under his cyan colored gaze. "Alright, meeting is about to get started and there is a lot that I have to say so shut the fuck and listen. First off, I'd like to thank everyone for the warm welcomes...I'm glad to be back." Pincher began, a faint tired smile tracing his lips before the canine straightened his form and appeared like a businessman should. "I have decided to recreate the rank system with the addition of a Reaver, the highest rank one can reach before deciding which division they desire to focus on. Privateers are no longer a rank based on warfare, it's a general stepup from Striker position and with this, I'd like to promote Vanessa and Wade to become Privateers. Congratulations and take a fucking sip, babes. Wade, I would also like to give you the title as well as the skull charm for Hedonist. You know how to keep a party going and the Typhoon appreciates it." Pincher flashed a light wink as he pushed forward the cups that held the ceremonial promotion drink as well as placing the small skull charm for Wade beside his drink so the maned wolf may add it to the bracelet that every Typhoon member was given. Then he gave a nod before continuing "Goldie, Cronas, Coldblue, and Roxanne, all get shoutouts. Well done, keep it up. I'd like to thank Argus for improving your activity and that will be all for the good news." Pincher's poised aura then suddenly cracked as a spark of electricity rolled off his nose as he growled "And now to some elephants in the room. I'm sorry Sekai but I'm going to have to demote you until you increase your activity. If you do so, you will be able to gain your spot in the Striker. And Caesar, let me give you a fucking warning about your goddamn attitude that I've been hearing. If you keep causing trouble and tensions to rise in our crew because you haven't learned some damn humility, I'm going to demote your ass permanently. I don't want any of my high positions to use their rank as some sort of reason to treat others like shit. You don't have to like everyone but keep it civil and respectful unless you want to get punched by more of our crew." His tongue was laced with poison as he snapped, his voice increasing until it echoed in the dome as his eyes narrowed before he allowed himself to suck in a small inhale before adding "And I've noticed the increase of injuries around here which honestly I do not like. I want fighting kept at a controlled manner. If you want to sucker punch someone in the face, feel free to do so under the supervision of a Striker or any other higher position in a spar that can settle whatever the fuck you're angry about. Is that understood?" Pincher didn't want to waste any more medicine on members that weren't able to control themselves. He inhaled softly through his pepper black nose before deciding to now go into smoother waters. "We have been doing outstandingly well with activity and I am thankful for everyone's participation in it. Y'all are great despite being a real pain in my ass. There are also new freshmeat around here. Arlo is the new kid on the block so be nice. There's also angry pipsqueak Edward walking among us as well as Connor, the one with the weird voice. My long lost half-sister Rosemary has decided to join us, as well as Alpha, another kid that managed to reached this hellhole. There's also some weird egg that had washed ashore and uh, some of you guys want to keep it so yeah let's see if it'll actually hatch. There are also returning faces which is the son of bitch known Greed, Sekai, and our little Keona." Phew. He was speaking quite a lot, something he was not used to due to the silence he had endured after his death. He swallowed, raising a paw to rub at one side of his neck where his gills were before adding "Caesar is holding weekly tasks/prompts this week. There is also a pokemon week happening right now so come join us! Calypso's Carnival is currently happening so go check that out as well. The June Choice Awards will be closing this weekend on July 1st so make sure you submit your votes! If anyone else had anything to say, feel free to state it now. Other than that, meeting is over." It was good to be back. Work and all, he enjoyed the ability to be the one to give the news for the week. SUMMARY — new ranking system updated! Re: ROCK THE BOAT — MEETING 6.25.18 - CAESAR CIPHER. - 06-25-2018 REIGN HAVOC FROM ABOVE !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. PRIVATEER.
To say Caesar was a bit salty that Pincher had returned was an understatement. In the demon's eyes, he was so damn close to becoming Captain in this dumbass's place, but of course he returned and ruined that chance. When one of the NPCs made the call that signaled the meeting was starting, Caesar got from his bed and made his way over with a limp, his wounds from the dinosaurs that recently visited them still healing. The one on his leg was most particularly bad, and although he couldn't feel any pain from them, his body still reacted as if it was in pain. The leg was numb almost, which is what Caesar felt as pain, and it was pretty damn hard to walk on. As Pincher started talking, Caesar took a seat, listening to the Captain. First announcement other than Pincher stating how glad he was to be back was the addition of a position called Reaver, as well as Privateers no longer being a stepping stone to Officer. Vanessa and Wade were promoted, as well as Wade receiving a title. Lucky him. Caesar thought bitterly to himself. He wanted to have a title, he deserved a title! But no, of course mister pansy-ass long-legged Wade got a title instead of him. But this was fine, he could just earn one eventually. Hopefully. Caesar had been too in his thoughts to notice the other announcements before Pincher snapped him out of them as he called his name. At first Caesar grinned, thinking he was getting promoted, but that hope was immediately pushed down as Pincher mentioned the drama he caused. Caesar became crestfallen, lowering his head a bit in mock shame as he listened to the Captain speak. The demon was more pissed off than anything, but not at himself. He was pissed at whomever fucking told Pincher of what he did. And it was probably Goldie. He knew that she didn't know of him attacking her, so luckily that wouldn't be brought up, but still, that didn't change the fact that she probably ran her mouth over the other drama sessions he caused. "Noted." The demon grumbled, mostly to himself. //Congrats to those promoted + got shoutouts!! Re: ROCK THE BOAT — MEETING 6.25.18 - vvintersoldier - 06-25-2018
A lot happened in the week Edward joined the Typhoon. Edward hadn't been around for most of the crazy occurrences, but the word of mouth spreads like fire around here. Edward heard how Pincher died and Caesar caused some trouble. Edward didn't know Pincher that well, the corgi felt no attachments to his new leader, nor did he mourn for the loss. He knew that others probably didn't take it well, but it seemed like they didn't have to mourn for long. As somehow, in a way Edward can't even explain, Pincher came back. Edward didn't believe the rumors at first when he heard people talking about it, until he saw the canine himself. How? How was he back? He died, when someone dies, they stay dead! That was what Ed believed, and after he tried to bring his mom back to life with Alphonse, he knew it wasn't possible to bring people back from the dead. It couldn't have been human transmutation- since first off, Pincher isn't human. Two, alchemy isn't popular here, it only seemed like Pincher knew what it was- and Pincher seemed surprised as alchemy was a myth here. How the hell is he alive? The corgi thought to himself as he began to pad over to the crowd, frowning when he noticed he couldn't see at all. He's too damn short! A sigh escaped his lips and the male quickly clapped his front paws, before placing them on the ground. Having the correct array envisioned in his mind, Edward transmuted the ground below him, causing it to rise in the air, so he can see Pincher while listening to these announcements. Once he was at a good height, Edward stopped transmuting, and listened to the other announcements. Edward's ears pricked up at the mention of his own name, but instantly flattened at the nickname of pipsqueak. Edward wanted to yell his head off at the leader, how dare he call him so tiny that you must look through a microscope! That fucking bastard! The Alchemist thought angrily, eyes gleaming with aggravation. Re: ROCK THE BOAT — MEETING 6.25.18 - Character Graveyard. - 06-25-2018 IF LOOKS COULD KILL ✧ Vanessa Carlysle - The Typhoon
At Pincher's call for a meeting, Vanessa had made her way towards the beach, looking for a spot where she could sit. It seemed Wade hadn't shown up yet, so the female had decided to take a seat beside a few NPCs. She would then lift up her ears and listened to Pincher speak. A new ranking system, she and Wade were being promoted to Privateers, Wade got a title, a welcome back to Argus, Greed, Sekai and Keona, Sekai was being demoted, shout-outs to Cronas, Coldblue, Goldie and Roxanne, a warning for Caesar and weekly tasks. Nessa would nod her head and speak. "Congrats to Wade for the promotion and title, and noted on the rest!" © madi
Re: ROCK THE BOAT — MEETING 6.25.18 - Wade Wilson - 06-25-2018 actions "speech"
People cheated death all the time, Wade had learned throughout his life. The times of people staying dead after the first croaking were over. It had been sad when Pincher had died- seeing Goldenluxury so torn up crushed the wolf. And seeing him come back had been a relief. No matter how common rising from the dead was, it was always a gamble. Because sometimes a person just didn't want to come back and you just had to live with that. Life was one big roll of the dice and Wade was just another piece of the puzzle. The wolf had arrived to join the rest at the call to meeting. listening patiently- or about as patient one could get with Wade- and offering his congratulations to those who deserved it. Seemingly, that included him as well, which shocked him, if he was being totally honest. The first time he'd been promoted, he was not ready and even now, when Pincher offered him the role of Privateer, as well as a brand new charm for his friendship bracelet, Wade still hadn't expected a thing. He looked like a deer in the headlights, shaking out of his momentary daze before nodding his head. "Thanks, Captain Jack Sparrow. Goes well with my eyes." he hummed as he downed his drink and added his first charm to the bracelet around his ankle. Hedonist. Awesome. papa's return was the biggest relief of her life. she tried to follow him whenever she could, eyeing his activities as close as she can. she could not handle him going again. she needed to take care of and help him as best he could. she needed to make sure he was okay as she could help him be. this caused her to not sleep at all. it wasn't giving a good effect on her head, but she didn't care enough to do be bothered by it. her thoughts got more and more confused, but she didn't care. it didn't matter.
she would quickly get up at the call of the meeting, although it would take her a bit longer to get there than the rest, due to her injuries. she sat down near roxanne and wade, closing her eyes quietly to listen to her papa. a constant migraine plagued her now, although medicine did help. she focused on papa's words, wanting to be sure she picked up everything. it was a bit easier to listen that when she'd very first gotten hurt, but it was still a struggle. she would manage, anyway. the girl took note of the ranks, though didn't care that much. she liked the feeling of being promoted, but it didn't bother her either way if she wasn't. she still respected others the same, whether they were high position or not, and she believed others should hold the same as well. if they didn't, well, then they'd just have to learn how to. she opened her eyes slightly to look at vanessa and wade, giving them a small smile when they were promoted and wade was given a title. he'd get a fancy new charm, that's nice. she went back to closing her eyes and listening afterward, though. the fact that she got a shoutout, along with her brother, made her a bit happier, too. she knew he was working hard, too. it wasn't often that he was so social with the crew. caesar's warning brought a bit of satisfaction to her, knowing full well he deserved it. his attitude was ridiculous and inappropriate, even she could tell that. the rest of the meeting was mostly stuff she could figure out on her own, although she was a bit unsure hearing that caesar was holding the weekly tasks. how well would that go? whatever. "great job, everyone." she'd offer kindly as usual, giving a small smile. Re: ROCK THE BOAT — MEETING 6.25.18 - ROSEMARY - 06-28-2018 [align=center]
Slightly late, the ocelot walked into the meeting with a relaxed stride. She usually didn't like dealing with people, but she understood the only one talking during meetings would be the leader - in this case, Pincher. No dialogue or small-talk needed from her, thankfully enough.
Tail-tips flicking behind her, she nodded along to the announcements, but didn't seem all that interested. The ranking system and promotions hardly caught her attention, as well as the public chiding of Caesar or any of the other news shared. She felt the meeting would have been much easier if Pincher simply explained what the hell happened to him for two days under the sea, but... she supposed she'd let him keep his secrets. Re: ROCK THE BOAT — MEETING 6.25.18 - coldblue - 06-30-2018 [align=center] It's still strange seeing Pincher stand before the crowd, addressing the masses as if nothing has changed. As if he had not died, as if Coldblue and Goldie and the rest of the crew had not mourned him. Can all people return from the dead? Is that a universal ability or is his father among the few capable of cheating death? It is strange and, frankly, it pisses Blue off. Pincher should not just be able to crawl out of the ocean waves and reenter the world of the living after two grief-stricken days. The bastard made Goldie cry—she blamed herself for not being able to save him! What kind of father does that to his child? He should not have been so prideful that he could not wake Goldie for help. So what if she sees him bleeding? It's better than waking up from slumber to find her dead father and beating herself up over how she could have saved him if one little thing was done differently.
Blue scowls as he approaches, frigid blue gaze avoiding the sickening sight of his father in favor of searching for his sister in the crowd. Suffice to say that the boy is angry at Pinch, even if he did shed a tear or two at the news that Father was back. Ever so gently, the boy rasps his tongue over the top of his sister's head in greeting as he settles beside her. He offers Wade and Roxanne a slight nod in greeting, but most of his attention remains on the health of his dearest sibling. Coldblue had prepared himself to tune out the announcements due to the simple fact that they never pertained to him, so imagine his surprise upon hearing his name called. "Hmm?" Oh, a shout out? "Uh, thanks, I guess." Blue tries to pretend that he is not pleased due to the resentment he holds for Pincher, but he really is pleased. It feels good to be praised. Doesn't happen much. |
