To say that he had not missed Jacob was an understatement. He had longed to see the husky ever since he had arrived back to the island, soaked with the sea salt that had drenched him for four days straight. He had stumbled out with intentions of seeing his family as well as someone that he longed to join his family. Not that Pincher wanted to get married right off the bat since crawling out of depths of cold hell, but he did have thoughts of spending his life with the kind-hearted chief. The way he looked at him and treated him, listening to him and actually paying attention...it was different from what he had experienced when he had fallen for other faces in the past. They had only sought out his intimidating appearance, allured by the excitement of having a "bad boy" by their side. His first wife perhaps saw him that way even when she had told him that she loved him with all her heart. It didn't surprise him since he remembered she had packed her things and left him without a goodbye or a reason why. Had it torn the heart that old Pincher had? Yes. Was there anything left in his chest to offer? Perhaps. If there was someone that could pull that out of him, it was Jacob.
He had contemplated on how to see his love again. Things had been rather tense before he had collapsed from bloodloss onto the shore of the bay. The last time he had seen him, it had been over some conflict between their clans due to Caesar, his temporarily demoted Officer. He hoped that when he had returned that the yellow savannah would have managed to create an event but it seemed that had not happened since when he arrived, the tensions that had lurked between borders had infiltrated his crew. He had noticed the various fresh wounds from fights and honestly was not fond of the idea that there was cold blood within his own ranks and he hoped that he would find a way to settle any conflicts down. So he had gone back to work, trying to make up for what he had been missing while considered "dead" to the world. The next day his return, he had placed a meeting with a new ranking and other types of announcements before jumping back to the planning he had. So, he had been swamped and unable to see Jacob in the tundra valley that the male lived in.
But it seemed now was his chance to see the blue eyed canine again as Pincher was nearby when he caught the soft and sweet voice of the healer. He was currently gnawing on some coconut chunks, the ivory sweet meat shredded by his multiple rows of shark-like teeth as he laid under the shade of a towering palm tree. He glanced up from his spot, cool magnetic blue gaze locking onto the three crewmates and the figure of Jacob. His eyes widened as he stumbled to his coffee brown paws, his short tail wagging furiously as he practically sprinted towards them with his lean legs hardly touching the ground. As he finally reached them, he barked "Jacob! Jake!" His low rumbling voice was now filled with excitement as he skidded to a halt behind the figures of his crewmates as he pushed forward to greet the male, a blossoming grin tracing his muzzle.
