papa's return was the biggest relief of her life. she tried to follow him whenever she could, eyeing his activities as close as she can. she could not handle him going again. she needed to take care of and help him as best he could. she needed to make sure he was okay as she could help him be. this caused her to not sleep at all. it wasn't giving a good effect on her head, but she didn't care enough to do be bothered by it. her thoughts got more and more confused, but she didn't care. it didn't matter.
she would quickly get up at the call of the meeting, although it would take her a bit longer to get there than the rest, due to her injuries. she sat down near roxanne and wade, closing her eyes quietly to listen to her papa. a constant migraine plagued her now, although medicine did help. she focused on papa's words, wanting to be sure she picked up everything. it was a bit easier to listen that when she'd very first gotten hurt, but it was still a struggle. she would manage, anyway.
the girl took note of the ranks, though didn't care that much. she liked the feeling of being promoted, but it didn't bother her either way if she wasn't. she still respected others the same, whether they were high position or not, and she believed others should hold the same as well. if they didn't, well, then they'd just have to learn how to. she opened her eyes slightly to look at vanessa and wade, giving them a small smile when they were promoted and wade was given a title. he'd get a fancy new charm, that's nice. she went back to closing her eyes and listening afterward, though.
the fact that she got a shoutout, along with her brother, made her a bit happier, too. she knew he was working hard, too. it wasn't often that he was so social with the crew. caesar's warning brought a bit of satisfaction to her, knowing full well he deserved it. his attitude was ridiculous and inappropriate, even she could tell that. the rest of the meeting was mostly stuff she could figure out on her own, although she was a bit unsure hearing that caesar was holding the weekly tasks. how well would that go? whatever. "great job, everyone." she'd offer kindly as usual, giving a small smile.

NOTHING'S EVER LOST FOREVER, IT'S JUST HIDING IN THE RECESS OF YOUR MIND AND WHEN YOU NEED IT, IT WILL COME TO YOU AT NIGHT. I MISS THE YELLOW. I MISS THE YELLING AND THE SHAKEDOWN. I'M NOT COMPLAINING, NO, I GOT A BETTER SET OF KNIVES NOW. I MISS MY DRUMMER, MY DEAD STEPBROTHER, AND THE PIT CROWD. AND CHUCK AND MATTY - IF THEY COULD SEE ME THEY'D BE SO PROUD.
