After the meeting, Adrian was supposed to go and train with his mentor--but as much as he enjoyed battle training, he had to make sure his mother was doing well. He was a bit of an ass, he'd be the first to admit, but he truly cared for his kin and the place he called home. He wanted to make sure that the doubt on their peoples' faces hadn't gotten to her. She was resilient, but there was always a limit.
He passed the NPC as he approached her room, quickly taking note of the paintings and decor that they held. She was already getting rid of anything that remained of the old man, huh? He couldn't blame her. It was best not to leave any traces of their former king, lest the subjects got any ideas. He pauses in the doorway, leans up against it.
"Already throwing his stuff out?" he asks with a smirk, his lessons on manners and acting like the royalty he was obviously not hitting their mark. "Probably for the best. I mean, he had horrible taste, no?" he holds up one of his father's robes as he speaks, hoping to lighten the atmosphere, even by a little bit.
"SPEECH"
