Perhaps in another life, this rot did not soldier itself to him; did not reap the rewards that he works so hard to obtain and make. But, perhaps in another life he was a rabbit - all was up to fate and if the gods saw him fit to carry this illness... So be it.
Bai Shi's golden glistening scales drew him forward, spit lining the sand as he went. Olalla had assigned them with the laborious task of digging - in sand - the aqueducts, or at least a blueprint trench of where they would go, quite some time ago. And while he was disappointed in the amount of time it took, he dared not complain as his absence was almost, if not more, mirrored to their own. He was glad it was getting done, and glad that there was finally a task he could help in.
The beast approached the dragon, nodding his head simply. "Bai Shi," Olalla greeted roughly, lowering his crown to analyze the beginning of the trench and, to his surprise, the glassy substance that lined the trench. It wasn't glass fully, at least not in appearance. Brows furrowed as his gaze hardened on the substance; a coarse and dry nose meeting the hot surface and a sharp breath drawing in it's burnt scent. The star-like glisten it produced was beautiful to say the least. Perhaps he could use it, for what he had no idea. Not yet.
Olalla dug his thick claws into the sand, jutting out from Bai Shi's main trench and running parallel for awhile. The beast used rocks to line the trench, as he was unable to breath fire and envious about it. He'd wait until the dragon was done with their trench to come back at blast his. It felt good to be under the sun again. Body moving, muscles rippling under thick skin; aching with work. It felt good.

I demand only this...that you join with me in building a new Rome, a Rome that offers justice, peace and land to all its citizens, not just the privileged few. Support me in this task, and old divisions will be forgotten. Oppose me, and Rome will not forgive you a second time!
