Warm the sunlight baking the sand below in the desert the Pitt called home. They knew they were behind in their tasks, in things that Olalla had assigned to them once upon a time, but it was not too late to start now they supposed. Inhaling roughly, tasting the dry sandy air, the dragon would growl as they walked, effectively clearing their throat. What all did they need to do? Thinking as they walked, heading towards the area they were supposed to dig at, sunlight bouncing off of golden scales harshly.
The imprints their taloned feet left were quickly whisked over with loose sand by a blowing gale, their mane shifting and ruffling in the breeze, bringing some comfort to the massive creature. Rumbling as they came to a stop, taking in the scents in the air as their talons dug into the hot sand, down into the cooler sand hidden below. Finding the region they wanted to start, the god would drag their talons over the sand, scooping away the top layer and digging into the layer below, digging downwards to begin the path they wanted to make. It felt somewhat strange, sand getting under their scales and rubbing in awkward places that they could not reach. The work reminded them of Malak, their long time friend and the only individual they felt they could rely on at any time now, though the other seemed to still be in recovery. If only they'd been there to protect him from harm, then this never would have happened. Shaking their head to clear their mind of their thoughts, the dragon busied themself in the act of digging, pushing sand out behind them into a large pile, their throat burning with a fiery tinge. They were making their own way of ensuring their trench wouldn't be filled back in with sand immediately, opening their mouth as heat grew and grew, fire racing up their throat to blast against the sand, continuing to spew the flame in place before moving on, leaving behind something akin to heated and hardened sand that may have born some resemblance to a thin glass after a lot of flame had scorched it. Had the beast had the ability to wield water, they would have doused the walls of the trench with water and then breathed fire on it in an attempt at making it harden. Perhaps someone would come by with clay later. They were just here to do their assigned chore. Re: HARD TIME FORGIVING ?digging aquaducts - Olalla - 12-20-2023 °• Olalla G. Perhaps in another life, this rot did not soldier itself to him; did not reap the rewards that he works so hard to obtain and make. But, perhaps in another life he was a rabbit - all was up to fate and if the gods saw him fit to carry this illness... So be it. Bai Shi's golden glistening scales drew him forward, spit lining the sand as he went. Olalla had assigned them with the laborious task of digging - in sand - the aqueducts, or at least a blueprint trench of where they would go, quite some time ago. And while he was disappointed in the amount of time it took, he dared not complain as his absence was almost, if not more, mirrored to their own. He was glad it was getting done, and glad that there was finally a task he could help in. The beast approached the dragon, nodding his head simply. "Bai Shi," Olalla greeted roughly, lowering his crown to analyze the beginning of the trench and, to his surprise, the glassy substance that lined the trench. It wasn't glass fully, at least not in appearance. Brows furrowed as his gaze hardened on the substance; a coarse and dry nose meeting the hot surface and a sharp breath drawing in it's burnt scent. The star-like glisten it produced was beautiful to say the least. Perhaps he could use it, for what he had no idea. Not yet. Olalla dug his thick claws into the sand, jutting out from Bai Shi's main trench and running parallel for awhile. The beast used rocks to line the trench, as he was unable to breath fire and envious about it. He'd wait until the dragon was done with their trench to come back at blast his. It felt good to be under the sun again. Body moving, muscles rippling under thick skin; aching with work. It felt good. ─────────────── · · · · · · · · · · ✧ [member=23232]bai shi[/member] ╘═════════════╡°•✦•°╞══════════════╛
