The sound of breathing aside from his own was enough of a shock when the lion finally managed to breathe without hindrance, jolting in surprise as he was touched. He felt his body being moved, a startled hiss leaving him, unable to make heads or tails of what was to his left and the pain that came from turning his head around was more than enough to discourage further attempts. Coughing as he was laid back down, his head feeling ready to shatter from every little sound, "Is that you, Seven?", he would rasp, noticing blue fur from his right eye as his closest confidant turned away from him. Was she alright? Closing his eye to save himself the sanity, he breathed out heavily, "Alert the others?" It was a question asked softly, as if he couldn't quite recall who these 'others' were.
Shifting slightly on his bedding with his eye closed, his ear was forced to swivel as he heard the tigress cross the room and open the door. He couldn't make heads or tails by the sound of footfall of who was who but Atticus' scent reached him first, followed by a vaguely familiar but unrecognizable scent. Forcing his eye to open, he would blink as he espied Atticus and another small feline shadowing him. Lifting his head with a grit of his teeth, one paw resting close to his head as he gave a grunt, trying to lift his head to better see the other two. He observed Atticus' reaction as carefully as he could, gleaning some information from his behaviour as he mulled his words in his head. A visitor? Who could it be?
An uneasy growl escaped the lion as his ears twitched, picking up on the second set of paws. Who was this visitor with the familiar yet unfamiliar scent? Huffing out a breath and groaning at the immediate sparks of pain, opening his jaws, "You will have to step closer. I can't see you." He spoke lowly, ears pressing down and back, tufted tail giving a frustrated flick, his eye gradually gaining some clarity despite everything feeling fuzzy, perhaps from the scratches across his face left in his fight with Juniper of The Typhoon. He paused as he mulled Cory's words, "I'm finally home." Was this man a traveler that had returned to Tanglewood after a trying journey and wished for the leader to know? Had anyone helped him to get settled in?
