ATTICUS ROUX -
The door creaked open to his family's cabin. Atticus, unaware and sound asleep, let out a loud unconscious snort in response. His snores echoed throughout the disorganized home and bounced off it's wooden walls, certainly reaching anyone who approached. The introvert preferred to be left alone, hence his tendency to sleep through events or uninvolve himself in Tanglewood's affairs.
Amid his slumber, a crack sounded out. The feline shot up. Jagged ears pointed up to the sky and sunflowered-colored optics opened wide. His gaze locked onto the doorway. Not with the stranger, but with the doorframe. The breaking stick's sound reminded him of when tragedy struck and killed his mother, smothered under the wooden doorframe during the Earth's vicious rumble. For a moment, he remained still and just stared. Memories rushed through his mind as his expression grew sour by the minute.
Projecting his frustration, the tabby turned his attention to Lucedon finally. "Who are you?" he snapped. "And why the fuck are you in my house?" He kicked the blankets away from his backside and onto the floor, exposing unsheathed claws to the other. She smelled foreign. The domestic had every reason to appear hostile.
Atticus, despite his harsh reaction, was a simple man with good intentions. He would warm up eventually, just like he did with everyone else.
