ONCE YOU COMMITTED ME
A task for him. Aegon's arrival was no surprise, as he enjoyed watching the mortals squeal over drama, but he did not expect to walk up to his name being called. The lion's brows caved downwards. Eyes narrowed in interested. He listened with careful consideration, occasionally turning his head towards other names that were called. 'Chernabog.' 'Night of No Stars.' He did not know the two closely, nor did he know anyone present closely, but they would be a welcomed presence on their hunt.
Before his head turned back to Olalla, Chernabog's cocky snort crossed his hearing. The lion's eyes turned on them like daggers, although out of concern and not malice. "I would never," he rumbled back. Death did not fail at his job and according to his roster, a buffalo was set to die. Fate never lied. At least not yet. With Night of No Star's own affirmation, he turned back to the leader with satisfaction.
The other announcements barely pleased the horseman, but his attention drew back in with Olalla's reply to Chernabog. 'Alive.' The buffalo was to be brought back healthy and to be bred? Aegon could see the potential. More souls for damnation, but he had hoped for death to sweep them off their feet swiftly. Death came to everyone eventually, after all. Fate never lies. "Understood," came his deep call. This worked better in his favor.
Aegon shifted from his sitting position and moved onto his paws, standing tall for the others to see. "Shall we head out?" he lamely drawled.
