[font=trebuchet ms]In what seemed like the blink of an eye, seven of her comrades had arrived, threats had been flung out, "Raven" was looking incredibly suspicious, and the situation was quickly approaching an out-and-out fight. With narrowed eyes, Rin motioned with one paw for Hazel, Immortal, and Bastille to get back- she probably wouldn't be able to convince Suite, Margaery, Eternal, or Roy to back down, but she could at least minimize the number of people that got hurt if a fight broke out. Besides, if Roy's flames were as powerful as she'd heard, then she couldn't risk other people catching on fire.
Then, before she could register what was going on, "Raven" lunged for Roy. With a hiss, Rin rushed over to Roy, but didn't arrive in time to block the blow- she'd been standing too far away.
In that moment, the claws striking the bobcat square in the chest, time seemed to slow to a crawl. Rin's eyes locked first onto Raven's abnormally-sharp appendages, then the crimson liquid spilling from the wound, then Roy's widened blue eyes, then her own paws- too late to protect him, too late to save her clanmate.
As time began to flow normally again, the Norwegian Forest Cat skidded to a halt, stifling a cry of panic. No, she couldn't afford to lose her head now. He was still talking (a foolish course of action to take, but it meant he wasn't choking, so he probably hadn't punctured a lung or any other vital organs), so there was still time. Swiftly removing her scarf from around her neck, she attempted to wrap it around the male's chest, to staunch the bleeding. It was far from a proper bandage, but it'd have to do until the medic arrived.
Speaking of the medic, was there one? Glancing down, Rin thought briefly. She'd heard something about a "Radeken," but she had no idea where he was or what he looked like. "Is Radeken still here?" she asked, looking back at the others. "And if he's not, does he have any suitable replacements? If not, we'll have to figure it out ourselves." She thought she could recall what some of the basic herbs were, but she wasn't sure that little knowledge would suffice for this case.
