ARES THERVOS
//slight gore warning for the end of the second paragraph and beginning of the third//
The early evening was the start of a grace period from the heat for all of the swamp. Ares flicked her ear idly as she sat by the seemingly small pond, watching fish scuttle about under it's surface. The beast within her paced the mindspace they shared, eager, waiting, anxious. It knew something was going to happen, something was going to spark. And she knew it too. It was strange that they'd agree twice on something.
The hissing was what startled her, followed by the flash of teeth and green/grey scales toward her face. Her good paw lashed out, claws striking the gator's nose and making it lurch back before it lurched back to her again. She staggered back and hissed, fur puffed out. The beast slammed against the walls of the mindspace and she growled ferally, teeth sharper, eyes a strange blue. The gator lurched out to grab her and she leapt, body shifting with such violent ferocity that pain radiated in her after the beast surfaced in form again. It landed on the gator's back and began ripping. Scales and flesh and blood sprayed out from it's back, it's spine revealed by the end of the assault. The gator was lost a few seconds before she stopped, but she didn't leave it alone.
The beast hopped off the dead gator, plunged her claws into it's neck, and started slicing through it. Broke bones and ripped muscle apart until the head was completely off - not cleanly, but completely. Then, the beast shifted back into cat form, and Ares blinked until her eyes were amber. "Oh, shit. Okay, so how am I going to drag this head to town?" She sighed, placing a paw onto it. 'You'll figure it out.' The beast laughed in the mindspace as Ares grabbed some of the gator's flesh in her jaws and started the slow journey to drag it to town.
She managed into town before suddenly letting go of the head and flopping back, a gentle yell leaving her as she fell on her back. "Shit- Ow!" She huffed, rolling back onto her legs and climbing to sit on the gator's head. "Uhh... Pretty Mother..? Mama Arrow? I kinda need some help." She called out, ignoring some of the looks she was starting to get.
