    [div style="width: px; font-family: GEORGIA; color: #422426; text-align: left; padding-top: 15px; padding-left: 10px"][align=center]ARE YOU GOOD WITH CHAOS ?!
Society cares little for the actions of the individual; Rosemary the individual cares little for society as a whole. This arrangement worked for the witch, as she spent entire days meditating under the trees with only her crocodile for company or snoozed the morning away.  Occasionally, a relative visited her—for advice, to celebrate a holiday, or other such milestones. But the witch kept her own company, sipping her tea while journaling her observations on magic and herbs.

She continued to supply the Necro Mambas with her homemade ointments, using tins identical to her teas to contain dried herbs or ready-made mixtures. Rosemary advised Roan (sporadically) and traded away homemade moonshine for exotic plants (rarely). Rosemary enjoyed a life free of routine, as carefree as the waves themselves, as she enjoyed the solitude of nature. People visited her when she allowed them, and she would gently nudge even Goldie or Roxie when she tired of socialization.

All of this quiet living came to an end this fateful morning.

The ocelot’s four eyes, all wide eyed, focused singularly on the burning treehouse in front of her. Her fur, still damp from a swim in the ocean, dried in the flame’s heat.

She’d heard thunder in the distance when she’d swam. It’s why she got out of the water earlier than intended, replacing the soothing swim with a quick meditation. Rosemary’d scritched Eri the crocodile’s head while listening to the rumbling booms, finding solace in the familiar drum beats.

All of that tranquility vanished, going up with the smoke climbing to the clouds.

Eri’s snout touched her cheek, and the ocelot snapped back into reality. Water at the riverbank slipped uphill, streams gurgling towards Rosemary and weaving around any stones in their path. The witch glared at her treehouse, now little more than a husk, and gritted her teeth as she snaked the water up her tree.

The streams strangled the fire like vines stealing the lifeforce out of a tree, wrapping around the treehouse like a constrictor snake. More water rushed upward, until a water bubble snuffed out the flames.

Only then did Rosemary exhale, the water bubble popping. The raindrops splattered the ground, and the water freely ran downstream again, where it joined the river.

But the damage was done. Rosemary saw that from the ground. The ash, the burned wood… nothing survived that, except perhaps the metal tins she used. At least the fire stopped. The threat to the rest of the jungle island had been destroyed, but….

“What a day,” Rosemary sighed, scratching Eri on his nose.

Over time, Roan had become more and more acquainted with lightning, and the destructive power that it truly had. He still didn't believe he had ultimate control over the electrical elementals that he possessed, but he had come to enjoy the feeling of power crackling along his fur, and lightning in his veins. It made him think of cousin Goldie, and also let him burn out the enraged, toxic energy that came with all of the loss that he had suffered. Unfortunately, he also knew that lightning wasn't always a force of good, and healing. More often than not, it was used for destruction. Or, in this case, accidentally wrought destruction, since the soothsayer really didn't think anybody had intentionally set Rosemary's tree house ablaze. If they did, then they better have prayed that they were from outside The Typhoon, and he didn't find them out. He and Rosemary might not have had as close of a relationship as he and his former medical mentor, Ahab, had. However, that didn't mean he had stopped caring for her, both as a mentor and a member of his family. She had still taught him a lot of useful things, and he had no desire to see her home go up in flames.

When the crack of lightning had whipped across the sky, Roan had left the usual safety of his space in the temple, rushing off towards the smell of flames, and the accompanying smoke. He eventually made it to Rosemary's home, but even with the assistance of his wings, he hadn't made it in time to do anything. Coming to a landing just a few paces away from Rosemary and Eri, the soothsayer hesitated before he spoke, a soft sigh leaving him, "Rosemary... I'm so sorry. I wish I could've done something..." Once again, the young adult Roux saw fit to blame himself for a loss. Maybe if he had just been a bit faster, or a bit more focused... he could've stopped the lightning from hitting her home. The thought made his chest ache, but he didn't let his guilt show in anything more than his simple "I'm sorry." Both so that Rosemary could watch the scene in peace, and also so that he could ponder what to do to help her in the future. Perhaps he could offer her shelter within the temple? It wasn't as if she hadn't already been there many a time to teach or help him.

A loud crackle is more than enough to ruffle the tiny Dealer's fur.  Wary.  She enjoy the rain, but the deafening claps of thunder always left her uneasy, with ears flattened against her skull in attempt to find quiet.

This time she had been close enough to scramble to her paws.  Headed to Raziel's treehouse with the intent to discuss whatever novels he had recently picked up and enjoy some quiet solitude before heading back to work.  The taste of charged air and smoke left her heading a different direction.

Her pale hues are dancing with concern as she scrambled to a halt beside her younger brother.  No signs of anyone hurt from the fire.  Thank the seas.  Losing home... She felt for the witch... But... Seas, she didn't want to lose anyone else.  Not now.

Keona was immensely glad Rosemary hadn't been inside.

Even if her chest is heavy.  If she'd been a big bigger.  A bit faster.  She might've been able to help Rosemary with the water... Though she rarely worked with her elements... The point was likely mute and Keona knew it.  Better to focus on caring for Rosemary and the damage than lingering on ifs.

"Are you okay, Rosemary?" Her voice is quiet, as usual, though tinged with more care than her usual distance.

I KNOW WHY YOU'RE MAD AT ME, I'VE GOT DEMON EYES
& THEY'RE LOOKING RIGHT THROUGH YOUR ANATOMY

Diya hadn't known Rosemary, outside of stories told by her girlfriend. While she had known that the ocelot had taken up residence in the treehouses within the jungle, the crewmate had never gone to bother the other. She knew from Roxanne that Rosemary preferred her solitude. She had never tread this far into the jungle before, not until she saw the lightning strike across the sky and smoke quickly following.

Curiosity and worry had lead the charge, the vampire grimacing as smoke clouded her thoughts. Pale eyes squinting, she slid up next to Roan. She greeted the soothsayer with a gentle brush of her thick tail against his back. No words left the feline as she watched on, unsure and ill-fitted for the scene. She didn't know the home owner well enough to speak, those who did having spoken enough.

COLD. LINOLEUM ICING MY GROWING PAINS
WATCH THE CEILING FAN TURN ITS SHAPE AGAIN
    MY THREADS ARE COMING LOOSE
Before the strike that split the roiling depths painted in harsh, monotone hues heavy the cloying press of overcharged atmosphere, distinct the inorganic tang present in each breath. Deep each taken, held for a few moments before —

Bright the sudden illumination flooding their room in a stark white gleam, moments proceeding before thunderous clap filled the brief lull. Shakey the breath seeping between clenched teeth, taunt muscle growing lax without the looming threat of another strike imminent. Long since had been shuttered the near permanently opened window yet to it attention drifted, silent their observation of each droplet gathered on the transparent panes. All too soon disturbed their illusion of peace, dark the grey plume arising among the twisted crown branches had come together to form.

Thoughtless their hasty departure, sodden the grains they raced across, brief their stumble as the transition from sand to soil was made. Picked up their prior speed in a few steps, all too soon momentum forced to a clumsy halt. Too late. Acquaintance been made with aunt in prior days though short each excursion into the depths she had deemed her own, lost among the few memories clung to, prioritised over others as their numbers were slowly depleted. Held their tongue as they looked to Rosemary for a moment, upward drifting their gazes until all they may see the burnt husk left in wake of all consuming flames.

DEAR FRIEND as you know,  your flowers are withering
your mother's gone insane, your leaves have drifted away.
but the clouds are clearing up
and i've come reveling, burning incandescently,
like a bastard on the burning sea.

    YOU'RE JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER,
    BURIED DEEP UNDER THE WATER.
Thunder and lightning was never a bad thing to the female. Storms were just as natural as sunlight, and perhaps she was a little biased, but she thought the rumbling a good sign. The world was powerful, and it was only a reminder every time they saw the sparks light up the sky. However, destruction of personal property always stung - she would know, having lived through the hurricane, volcanic eruption, and the meteor strike. When she sees that it was Rosemary's home, specifically, that was destroyed, the female would wonder once more if she'd done something to upset the Gods. Her lungs still hurt from the day they'd been squeezed dry.

"We could build a bigger, better one," the female would offer softly. The tone is optimistic, much more so than heard from the female in a while - aside from perhaps around her children, where she still would do her best to show them a glass half full version of the world. Perhaps Harlow's presence is what made this come on, or simply a childhood nostalgia she'd always feel whenever seeing her aunts that came and went. Either way, she would feed off the brief feeling. The brief, little tiny bit of relief. "Gettin' some sun won' be so bad, though, promise." The tigress teases lightly. This would certainly give the female an excuse to be out and about some more, as much as it was shit she lost her home.

put  down  your  sword  and  crown,
come  lay  with  me  on  the  ground.
you come beating like moth's wings, spastic and violently,
whipping me into a storm shaking me down to the core.
NOTHING'S EVER LOST  FOREVER,  IT'S  JUST  HIDING IN THE RECESS OF YOUR MIND AND WHEN YOU NEED IT,  IT WILL  COME  TO  YOU  AT  NIGHT.  I MISS THE YELLOW. I'M NOT COMPLAINING, NO,  I GOT A BETTER SET OF KNIVES NOW.  I MISS MY DRUMMER,  MY DEAD STEPBROTHER,  AND THE PIT CROWD.  AND CHUCK AND MATTY  -  IF  THEY  COULD  SEE    ME    THEY'D  BE  SO  PROUD.

me dejaste, me dejaste en un tango
It was nice seeing Rosemary was outside considering she was a bit of a hermit much like her son, Roan, which was funny seeing as the young boy seemed to take more after his aunt than his own mother. Despite the circumstances that had brought her sister out to the world once more, her home was destroyed and she couldn't help but feel a frown settle itself onto her maw. The draconic feline would mew with a tilt of her cranium "Exactly, I can definitely help with building a bigger and better home." She offered a smile to Rosemary, she would brush up against Roan gently and sat down.

Hearing Goldie tease her sister, Roxanne wouldn't help but giggle a bit nodding her head lightly "A lil sunlight won't hurt ya, Rosie." Roxanne would roll her shoulders a bit only to breathe out a bit. She curled her tail around her paws, she tilted her head to the side hoping that would be enough to make Rosemary feel better. "And my home is always open if you need a place to stay," Roxie said as her smile grew a bit, she was sure that Diya wouldn't mind it.

EN EL ALMA SE ME FUE, SE ME FUE EL CORAZÓN
YA NO TENGO GANAS DE VIVIR, PORQUE NO TE PUEDO CONVENCER
    QUE NO TE VENDAS, ROXANNE
