SOOTHSAYER ❝ ROAN ❞ THE TYPHOON
Truth be told, Roan was a rather big fan of Vayne. He found her to be pretty adorable, and she actually seemed fairly sweet, which was a surprise for one of Aphra's children. Unfortunately, Aphra's semi-constant presence was a problem, and Roan often found he didn't want to have to deal with her coming around. It was less for his own sake as much as it was for Aphra's. The soothsayer knew that if Aphra got too close to him and opened her big fat mouth, she'd probably cause him to snap, and that wouldn't be good for any of them. Especially if Roan grew angry enough to lash out with his electricity, potentially permanently scarring Aphra on an even grander level. Somehow, he doubted that would end up earning him friendship points with Vayne, considering the girl hadn't yet realized just how terrible Aphra was. He wasn't sure she ever truly would, considering how blind children tended to be to their parents own flaws – even though Roan acknowledged plenty of his mama's flaws.
However, Roan had decided to come up with a plausible excuse as to why he needed to be around Vayne – to teach her about medicine. Surely Aphra couldn't have an issue with him just trying to teach the child some medical knowledge, could she? She wouldn't want her child to remain injured in any situation, no matter how terrible of a mother she was... or at least the soothsayer hoped. So, with his bag full of herbs bouncing rhythmically off of his side, Roan made his way over to Aphra's home, glancing around and sniffing the air, trying to figure out whether the pure white feline was around. When he caught no sight or scent of Aphra, he decided that it was safe, knocking a paw gently against the front door. He rose his voice a bit to be heard through the door, his wings shifting upon his back as he called out, "Vayne? Are you in there? I was wondering if maybe you wanted to come and accompany me on an herb-hunting trip... I could teach you some things about medicine, if you'd like." Hopefully she wouldn't refuse him just because of Aphra's influence.
